Isn’t he cute? Everyone go “awwwwww, what a sweety.” Except in St. Paul, Minn (h/t to Stop the ACLU, original story at the Junkyard Blog)
The Easter Bunny has been sent packing at St. Paul City Hall.
A toy rabbit, pastel-colored eggs and a sign with the words “Happy Easter” were removed from the lobby of the City Council offices, because of concerns they might offend non-Christians.
A council secretary had put up the decorations. They were not bought with city money.
St. Paul’s human rights director, Tyrone Terrill, asked that the decorations be removed, saying they could be offensive to non-Christians.
How freakin’ sad is that? Were they concerned with offending Christians by removing the material? Were they worried about offending the Founding Fathers, who were, for the most part, avid Christians? Or how about the Pilgrims, who came here to be able to celebrate and practice their version of Christianity, which included Easter?
Granted, Easter is about considerably more then bunnies and eggs. Me, I am not a big church goer or devout Christian, but, I believe, and, on holidays such as Easter, I remember and think about what they stand for. And to deny the Christian heritage of the USA is disgusting and repulsive.

Sounds more like bunny rights to me…
The rabbits and eggs actually have very little to do with the Christian tradition of Easter. The joke’s on the ACLU this time. They ran the secularized version off.
Just one more step towards Socialism
Separation Myth Leads to Ousting of Easter Bunny…
If you are offended at this, I say move to France. Allowing oneself to be offended is a pathetic way of life anyway – no matter what the “offense” is. No one “offends” you. EVER. It is your choice to be offended….
