Last Thursday, July 18th, it was originally report that a whole slew of illegal aliens were busted at Fort Bragg, in Fayetteville, NC. And, now, the contractors who hired them are under investigation:
FORT BRAGG — Nine contractors at Fort Bragg are being investigated for hiring the 58 workers who were detained for trying to get onto the Army post with false documents, a Fort Bragg spokesman said.
The workers were detained Tuesday when federal agents checked their documents as they tried to enter Fort Bragg between 6 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.
All but one will be deported, said a spokesman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Washington D.C.
Fifty were in custody Wednesday at the Johnston County Jail, while eight were released on an order of supervision and given a court date, said immigration and customs spokesman Marc Raimondi.
Countries of origin for the detainees included Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras, Raimondi said. They included a suspected gang member, a sex offender, three immigration fugitives and two people who had re-entered the country after they were deported, he said.
From television reports, at least some of the illegals had valid North Carolina drivers licenses. These are the people that Gov Mike Easely's program provides legal documentation to. Thanks, Mike! Great program. I would say that the next thing you will hear is that a bunch of illegals were busted for voting, but, North Carolina doesn't require ID to vote. You may get asked, but you do not have to show.
Released with a court date? Sure, those folks are going to show up because we asked them nicely.
And yes, every single one of them could be voting — and believe me, the Democrats will fill them with enough fear to get their vote!
Rather sad, isn’t it?
