A thaw of Iceland’s ice caps in coming decades caused by climate change may trigger more volcanic eruptions by removing a vast weight and freeing magma from deep below ground, scientists said on Friday.
…
She and Sigmundsson wrote a 2008 paper in the scientific journal Geophysical Research Letters about possible links between global warming and Icelandic volcanoes.
Anthony Watts has more on the subject. Moving on to slavery
As climate change intensifies, the impact for families to find food, brings desperate measures. Families are now seeking any solution to survive. The selling of daughters into slave markets is, one of the solutions, causing young women , girls to be swept away by what many guess are modern slave traders.
How about those bad Indians?
Early NaÂtive AmerÂiÂcans caused more carÂbon diÂoxÂide emisÂsions than preÂviÂously thought—and they thus conÂtriÂbutÂed to globÂal warmÂing even beÂfore the inÂdusÂtÂriÂal era beÂgan, a new study sugÂgests.
Somehow, I don’t think they cared about it, as they had other things on their minds
The inÂdigÂeÂnous peoÂples burned trees as part of forÂest-manageÂment stratÂeÂgies that ulÂtiÂmaÂtely led woodÂlands to yield more of the nuts and fruit that the peoÂples ate in abunÂdance, acÂcordÂing to sciÂenÂtists. The reÂsult: emisÂsions of carÂbon diÂoxÂide, one of the key heat-trapping gasÂes blamed by climÂatÂolÂogists for globÂal warmÂing.
Ah. Food. Raising the standards of living. Check. All those things liberal climate alarmists want to significantly reduce in modern society.
InÂiÂtialÂly, SpringÂer and colÂlaÂboÂraÂtors from UniÂversÂity of TexÂas at ArÂlingÂton and UniÂversÂity of MinÂneÂsoÂta were stuÂdying hisÂtorÂic drought cyÂcles in North AmerÂiÂca usÂing isoÂtopes, or variÂants, of carÂbon in stalÂagÂmites. To their surÂprise, they said, the carÂbon recÂord conÂtained evÂiÂdence of a maÂjor change in the loÂcal ecÂoÂsysÂtem beÂginÂning at 100 B.C. This inÂtrigued the team beÂcause an arÂcheÂoÂlogical dig in a nearÂby cave had yielded evÂiÂdence of a NaÂtive AmerÂiÂcan comÂmunÂity there 2,000 years ago.
That’s interesting, since a. we have had multiple warming and cooling periods over the last 2,000 years, and b. the Earth had been in the same situation over the last 7,000 years, as the changes from the end of the last ice age slowed down into small oscillations. But, hey, it’s all about Blaming Mankind.

Let’s see…
Iceland hasn’t warmed up AT ALL since 1941. Yet the magma formed up anyway. And what of that island that formed up from a new volcanic vent 2-3 decades back? Did ice on the ocean floor melt?
Slavery… well it is pretty Warm in most muslim nations, so that might explain why they’ve been selling slaves for 1400 years (right up the the present day). And the Roman Warm Period was warmer than today, so I can see why they had slaves… Did the Vikings have slaves during the MWP? Not sure about that one….. Anyway slavery has been around for 10,000 years, probably longer despite ‘lil johnnies’ obsessions with ‘6000 years,’ so does that mean the Dark Ages cooling and Little Ice Age cooling never happened? In which case, the world is Not getting warmer, ’cause it always has been……………..
As to the Indians: I wish I had sad something months ago. It occured to me last winter that the AGW hystericysts would eventually try to push global warming back to the days when the Human race really began to multiply… and here it comes, just as expected!
If ignorance truly is bliss, ‘lil johnnie must be Ecstatic.
Thank God I’ve always been an avid reader! I couldn’t stand the idea of being ignorant, let alone as ignorant as ‘lil johnnie.
He says Iceland’s volcanic carbon emissions are good news for plant growth and the current eruptions give an indication of the potential for carbon emissions from future volcanos.
“We are living in a period of volcanic quiescence, as we haven’t had a dirty big eruption since 1912; and this is a small eruption but it is giving us the window into what a very big eruption would be like.”
