What with city councils and such getting on the bandwagon to boycott Arizona, you would have thought some people would have looked at a map, alas, no. Liberal stupidity is so rampant that it should be traded on the commodities market
The Milwaukee County Board spent part of the day debating a measure that would call for the county to boycott doing business with companies in Arizona.
I guess after solving their high unemployment rate (9.3%), sewage and environmental problems, and school problems, they have plenty of time.
There was an odd moment during the debate when Supervisor Peggy West stood up and seemed to be confused about her geography. “If this was Texas, which is a state that is directly on the border with Mexico, and they were calling for a measure like this saying that they had a major issue with undocumented people flooding their borders, I would have to look twice at this. But this is a state that is a ways removed from the border,” West said during debate.
After being reminded that Arizona is indeed a border state, West said she “misspoke” and passed geography classes. Uh huh. Sure.

Meanwhile, two federal agencies have gotten involved with the boycott flu, and….
Two federal agencies have joined the “boycott Arizona” trend and nixed conferences
there out of concern over the state’s immigration law, a Democratic Arizona congresswoman said, calling the development “very troubling.”Any cancellations by the Department of Education and the U.S. Border Patrol may have been more out of a desire to steer clear of controversy than outright protest of the law. But Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who has written to dozens of cities and groups in a campaign to persuade them to end their boycotts, said it was disturbing to learn that the federal government would withdraw from the state over the issue.
Wait a second, the US Border Patrol is canceling conferences in Arizona?
One thing about the current president and the progressive Democrats in congress is that they have learned over the last 40 years that you legislate and regulate unpopular Progressive positions into law.
Once into law you no longer have to defend them or baby them. The entire weight of the federal government, Supreme Court, Courts, Attorneys and the Constitution then are set into motion to defend these unpopular laws.
Legislate and Regulate is the rallying cry for the Progressives. Here is a classic example….pass a law that says we cant do business with Arizona.
[…] group of moonbats ready to jump on the open borders bandwagon — interesting, considering (as William Teach points out) they have problems of their own to be worrying about, like a 9.3% unemployment rate. One would […]
