How popular is the health insurance mandate in Missouri? This popular
Voters in Missouri overwhelmingly opposed requiring people to buy health insurance, in a largely symbolic slap at the Obama administration’s health overhaul.
The referendum was the first chance for voters to express a view on the overhaul, although turnout in the state was low and Republican voters significantly outnumbered Democrats.
With all precincts reporting, 71% of voters supported Proposition C, establishing a state law that says Missouri cannot compel people to pay a penalty or fine if they fail to carry health coverage. Twenty-nine percent voted against the proposition.
Yes, yes, the turnout was heavily Republican, as the Times attempted to pre-dismiss the other day. Yet, if the ObamaNuts were so passionate about requiring American’s to buy health insurance at the barrel of a fine, something never done before by Los Federales, they would have organized and gone to the poll in droves.

The democrats now have the same conundrum that the GOP had on their hands when Bush was president.
Most of us were livid at his spending and the invasion of Iraq.
But hey..he was moderately conservative. He was a Republican so anything was better then Al Gore or John Kerry………so we defended him and we weathered years of Bush Bashing until so many of us gave up that we allowed a Socialist to be elected POTUS.
Now the Democrats have the same conundrum to deal with…..most everyone has some reason to be angry with Obama but he is after all a democrat and that is in their mind certainly better then Sarah Palin.
So it goes…….over the cliff march the Democrats…..defending the boy who would be king.
Many liberals are against the mandate, since there is no public option. Republicans defeated the option, which makes the mandate a gift to insurance companies.
Yay! The Republicans defendes JOBS!
