It’s Friday. You need your weekly wrap-up super dose of Leftist stupidity. Starting with Wacky Alan Grayson (D-Flipout)
Got that? 9/11 was Bush’s fault because he went to Crawford in August, and ignored a PDB with no actionable intelligence.
Next up, The Atlantic’s Nichole Allen has a typical liberal hissy fit
In an act of shockingly retro, sexist stupidity, a local unit of the Republican Party of Minnesota has broadcast a new reason you should vote Republican: GOP women are hot, and Democratic women are not.
The group has made a web video contrasting photos of attractive, semi-clothed Republican women with ones of distorted, Photoshopped Democratic women. The Republican portion of the slideshow — set to Tom Jones’ “She’s a Lady” — features everyone from Michele Bachmann, to Angie Harmon, to Condoleezza Rice. It is bookended with pictures of Sarah Palin. The Democratic portion, set to Baha Mens’ “Who Let the Dogs Out,” begins with a photo of a grimacing Rosie O’Donnell, who pops up later Photoshopped onto the hairy body of Guantanamo detainee Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Michelle Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Janeane Garofalo all make appearances.
Of course, the local Republicans pulled the ad, which, I think we can all agree was not the brightest idea to begin with, not when Republicans actually have real world solutions to the mess Democrats have gotten us into. But, is it the Most Sexist ad, Well, ever? Perhaps. Probably not. Considering there is list after list of them, nope. But, considering the way the Left has treated Sarah Palin since her nomination as VP, not to mention their treatment of Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter, and any women on the Right, not to mention Hillary Clinton, they are the last people to be calling anything sexist.
And then there is Roger Ebert, film critic, who tells us the Ten things he knows about the mosque
2. The First Amendment comes down to this: “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” It does not come down to: “The First Amendment gives me the right to shout the N-word 11 times on the radio to an inoffensive black woman, and when you attack me for saying it, you are in violation of my First Amendment rights.
6. Somewhere on the Right is an anonymous genius at creating memes. Sarah Palin floats a suspicious number of them: Death Panels, Ground Zero Mosque, 9/11 Mosque, Terror Babies. Her tweets are mine fields of coded words; for her, “patriot” is defined as, “those who agree with me.” When she says “Americans,” it is not inclusive. These two must have been carefully composed in advance to be tweeted within 60 seconds of each other:
Like any good Liberal, Roger had to work in some Derangement. Interestingly, though, when we consider #2, he fails to make the logical leap that people who are against the 9/11 Debris Field mosque have the Right to speak out against it.
Crossed at Right Wing News and Stop The ACLU
Holy crap!?!!! How would Bush not going on vacation keep the CIA and FBI working? Don’t they continue to work even when the prez and other members of their organization goes on vacation?
And, seriously? All month of August?
And, who was president during the preceding year when all the hate was building? Who was prez when they made their first attack against the towers?
This can go on and on and on and on. Sheesh.
Sorry Teach, this just pissed me off more.
“When Palin says “Americans” she doesn’t mean everyone” OH COME ON!!! Paranoid much?
Yes, those who are against the mosque are free to speak out against it. However, they are speaking out in favor of government intervention to stop it. There was no government action against Schlessinger. Her whining about the First Amendment is ridiculous.
Hello Bunny!
Actually, she wasn’t yelling the N-word AT the caller, she was bemoaning the use of the N-word all over the place. Could she have used the word “N-word”, yes, but if its ok for cable shows and black entertainment to use it, then why can’t an elderly white woman?
That is a separate argument that I would be glad to address, but my point was that her first amendment rights were not revoked.
Now, two points about your new argument:
First of all, why the hell would this old white woman WANT to use the n word? What benefit is that to her?
Secondly, can you make fun of your mom? What if I do it? Is that different?
U had to hear it, Reasic. The whole exchange. Dr Laura was making a point, though, she might have gone a bit far in repeating it so much. But, in context, she had a good point
