We’re Saved: US Ski Team To Wear Climate Crisis (scam) Themed Suits At World Championships

This is after taking a long, fossil fueled trip to France. And then they’ll probably dispose of the suits made with fossil fuels, creating waste

US skiers to don climate change-themed race suits at worlds

Looking cool is just the tip of the iceberg for Mikaela Shiffrin, Travis Ganong and the rest of the U.S. ski team when they debut new race suits at the world championships.

Even more, they want everyone thinking about climate change.

The team’s predominantly blue-and-white suits depict an image of ice chunks floating in the ocean. It’s a concept based on a satellite photo of icebergs breaking due to high temperatures. The suit was designed in collaboration with Kappa, the team’s technical apparel sponsor, and the nonprofit organization Protect Our Winters (POW).

The Americans will wear the suits throughout the world championships in Courchevel and Meribel, France, which start Monday with a women’s Alpine combined race and end Feb. 19.

“Although a race suit is not solving climate change, it is a move to continue the conversation and show that U.S Ski & Snowboard and its athletes are committed to being a part of the future,” said Sophie Goldschmidt, the president and CEO of U.S. Ski & Snowboard.

Oh, good, a conversation. One would think that after spreading awareness has been going on for over 30 years, the Warmists would simply practice what they preach instead of making little demonstrations, but, nope, they do not want to reduce their own 21st Century, big carbon footprint lives and be inconvenienced.

BTW, interestingly, the team has failed to show any of the women skiers in this suit. Rather sexist.

All international air travel has had a 2% surcharge for carbon offset.
Until technology gives us CO2 emission free energy we will have to use what is available.
But change IS coming. But even in mid 70s I will live long enough to see electrified air travel which is due to begin in 4 years

Carbon Boy-are you finally going to tell us how paying a tax reduces CO2, and why we need to reduce CO2? Should be easy, right?
In case you didn’t realize, China and India, among others, continue to build coal plants. Emissions won’t go down in your lifetime

Congrats to me. I was just called by the dealer, my new 2023 Corvette will be delivered to me between 1pm and 3pm today. Yippie! A Torch Red convertible 3LT with a black/red leather interior and all the bells and whistles.

Before the leftists call it my mid life crisis you should know I currently have a Vette and have for my last 3 cars.

It’s funny since my dad ordered his new EV Mercedes in July and there’s still no word but I ordered my ICE Vette in Nov and here it is.

I have never needed to order a car. Like lost dogs, they usually find me.

It says something bad about the automotive supply that there aren’t cars available at the stealership just waiting for pickup.

If I’m not mistaken… the suits are made of petroleum products…Right. And how will they get to the games?
