Excuse me if I do not get to excited. It was 1978. He overstated his service, according to some. Others say that he was technically Air Force during the initial training period. Really, who cares? Besides the Leftwing loons. President Bush is not running on his service. Did he serve? Yes. But it isn’t the be all say all of who he is. It really just doesn’t matter, but expect to hear lots of this from the left.
Whether we hear anything from Big Media is another story. They might be a little gun shy (especially CBS and the AP) about dredging this old story up.
