Smart move by the Senate. Goss was nominated by a vote of 77-17. (Love the name, BTW, same as my real one). By my math, that is 94 people voting, 6 not.
Neither Kerry nor his running mate, Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., voted on the confirmation.
Yup. Neither of them voted. No record of who else missed it on the official Senate website, but, it is rather wonderful that neither of them voted, especially considering Edwards sits on the Intelligence Committee, and missed the vote to send Goss’ nomination to the full Senate yesterday. Kerry wants to be President of a country at war, and he cannot be bothered to show up for the Senate vote on whether Goss will be the next CIA director or not.
Kedwards just do not take our security seriously.
