As part of his 100 day plan to change America, John Kerry will propose a comprehensive service plan that includes requiring mandatory service for high school students and four years of college tuition in exchange for two years of national service.
As President, John Kerry will ensure that every high school student in America performs community service as a requirement for graduation.
(Emphasis mine) Perhaps this isn’t a military draft, but it sure seems similar. And scary. He will require this of ALL high school students. Right now, his plan is for things such as community service and a new Peace Corps, and summer service for 13-17 year old. I just do not know what else to say about this type of clearly intrusive governmental interference. Without going into Lefty type rhetoric to far, it reminds me of how the Hitler Youth started.
