For all you North Carolina voters out there who plan on voting early, bring a picture ID. There is a pervasive rumor that all you a required to give to vote early is your name and address. I heard this multiple times in the voting area bith Saturday (I didn’t wait around to vote: 4-5 hour wait), and this morning. People were worried about fraud.
Well, no need to worry. You do not need your voter registration card, but do need your State issued ID or DL. I would highly suspect, ok, assume, that it is the same in most, if not all, of the other states. Same with the rumors.
Nope, that’s not allowed. According to the federal government, since NC is a racist state, we are NOT PERMITTED to ask for ID. Yes, asking for ID is racist and discriminates against blacks (according to the federales), so no request for ID can be administered! Any election site that is asking for ID is breaking federal law.
