From IMAO comes the Blog Myths and Facts. (hat tip to Kellipundit, who won’t say what she wears while blogging.)
MYTH: Bloggers are just a bunch of ill-informed polemicists writing in their pajamas.
FACT: Not all bloggers wear pajamas while blogging. I myself wear boxers, a gun belt, and a bandolier. One of the contributors to Power Line is famous for wearing a gorilla costume while writing.
Me, I never wear pajamas. Don’t own any. Usually, I am wear some sort of sweats, either shorts or long ones, depending on the weather. I take the Captains hat and sabre off: the feather keeps getting in the way, and not easy to sit down wearing a sword.
MYTH: People only blog for the money and the babes.
FACT: People also blog for power, out of sense of arrogance, and because they like the clickity-clack sound of the keyboard.
What’s the problem with that? Actually, I take no money for this. Heck, if I have earned any money for the Google ads, I have no clue. I have never been paid by any politician. But, I would take their money. I can be bought. Puts me on the same level as Rather.
And, just to be clear, every word on this blog is something I believe. I do not blog stuff for attention, if ye get my meaning. I may post something on a forum or in another blog’s comments that is a little outrageous, but, not here. I I cannot be honest with myself…… I do not post something that doesn’t interest me. I rarely blog things that I have no clue about. I do not link to folks strictly for a link. Every word reflects me, and my beliefs, thoughts, and feelings.
That being said, I can be bought. My paypal account is NCDevil :)
I blog fully dressed including sox and shoes. I blog because it’s a fun way to express and hear new ideas and meet new and interesting people.
The cheque is in the mail… ;)
