Have you taken Patterico’s Pledge to Screw the FEC?
I’m trying to get people who pledge to ignore the FEC, to put up the on their site.
Linky broke-
The Gadsden Flag
Thanks for staying on top of this, Teach. It is really a shame that we even have to be concerned. Again, what has Sen. McCain ever done of any consequence or value in the US Senate? I was trying to remember.
I will absolutely take the “Screw the FEC” Pledge … unless McCain’ the nominee. Then it will be interesting to watch him thrown to his MSM wolf/pals while Hillary or whatever Demo runs away with the election.
I’ve had someone from fcc.gov lurking around at my site. I say screw them too.
You’re way too generous William. I’m sure they’re just doing this to mess with my mind – keep in mind this is the government and I’ll probably end up eating crow at some point. All I wanted was for both sides to be presented.
It’s still early days and there’s a 60-day comment period for people to get their feedback in, which bloggers should definitely be taking advantage of. It’s evident from the hash about ownership of machines and s/w that they need input from the b-sphere. And we should be providing it.
Part of what got me torqued off before was the feeling that there was more energy being directed at the whole civil disobedience thing than on monitoring the rule-making process to make sure that what ever DOES go into effect would be REASONABLE. That’s where the effort needs to go, because like it or not, McC-F is here to stay unless we want to do the right thing and go after the source of the problem.
Heh… sorry, been spending too much time at Liberal Larry’s. That last was me.
Tom, i have taken that pledge, which I would follow based on whatever happens with the FEC.
DC, preciate ya.
Cass, hey, you went out and did the deep research more then anyone else I have seen, distilling and coalating. It did seem more like disobedience right now, rather then, an “if this happens.” I do think the FEC realizes that it would be downright difficult and costly to try and enforce burdensome rules, as well as they would have to go after all sites, whether journalists or not. CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc, would flay the FEC alive.
