From CNN:
President Bush will announce his pick to replace Justice Sandra Day O’Connor on the Supreme Court at 9 p.m. Tuesday, White House spokesman Scott McClellan said.
Bush said at a midday news conference that he has considered a variety of people, and "I’ll let you know when I’m ready to tell you who it is."
Democrats immediately responded with calls that President Bush is obstructing the Supreme Court nomination process. "This President needs to come clean on who his nominee is. The Moonbat nation demands it" stated Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Democratic Minority Leader in the Senate, Harry Reid, condemned "these outrageous stalling tactics by the Bush Administration. It’s time for Bush to come clean on who his nominee is." Senator Ted Kennedy stated between shots "whoever the hell it is, they are evil. Bush needs to come clean on who his nominee is."
Earstwhile Senator John Kerry, who also served in Vietnam, had this to say: "This president has mismanaged the entire process. We have yet to hear what his exit strategy from this quagmire in nominating a Supreme Court justice. President Bush needs to come clean on who his nominee is."
When advised that President Bush is speaking on this tonight, every Democratic Congress-person claimed that "this nominee is a travesty, and will take away our civil liberties. President Bush needs to stop misleading the country with his obvious extreme right wing nominees."
