Folks, it doesn’t get any sillier then what the ACLU is now pushing:
WASHINGTON, DC-The Executive Director if the ACLU is reporting that they will challenge the usage of the term "Chief Justice of the Supreme Court" in all references in the American language.
"After seeing what the NCAA has done, in regards to college football teams named after Native Americans, for the Bowl games, we feel that it is high time to stop the denigration of these same Native Americans by the constant reference to the top Supreme Court Justice as "Chief" said Anthony D. Romero. "The fact that the Constitution refers to this person as the "Chief" is irrelevant, as the Framers clearly did not understand the insult that it is to Native Americans."
The ACLU is planning on filing a lawsuit the day that John Roberts is approved by the Senate.
"Chief Running Water of the Leni Lenapi Indians in the Washington area said, in response, "what, are they total idiots? You know how much money we make off of merchandise sales of robes and gavels? We have no problem with the use of the word Chief."
Yes, yes, that is made up. But that is the mindset of the ACLU. The same ACLU who wants to keep the terrorists at G’itmo from talking to military interrogators. They aren’t even American citizens! From Stop the ACLU
What is the pentagon thinking? Political correctness has taken us to the point that we can’t trust our own military in the war on terror. How does this fall into American civil liberties? And why is it not considered aiding the enemy? And why is the pentagon involved in this crap? Think about what is happening here. The ACLU are advising many of our sworn enemies that they don’t have to say anything to us. That they have a right no less to keep their mouth shut. How cushy can we make it for our killer enemies that would slit our throats in second?
How indeed.
And the ACLU should be so proud. Nowhere on their site can I even find a reference to Katrina. I guess the "rights" of terrorists bent on destroying the USA are more important then helping the victims of Katrina. Jerkoffs.
Good find on that joke, I almost believed it at first. I wouldn’t put it past them to do something like this.
I could believe it happening. The trackback to Stop The ALCU might have been wise, since I bet they monitor you, so they will come over and go “damn. That’s a good idea!” :)
