Stop the ACLU wackjobs!

Having a bit of the old "don’t want to write, escape from modern appliances (excluding HDTV. a progressive scan DVD player, and season 2 of Dead Like Me)" today, but, I did come across this little gem courtesy of the ACLU.

The trial of Kitzmiller v. Dover will test whether American public schools can include "Intelligent Design" as a part of science education. The school board in Dover, Pennsylvania, has endorsed ID for its classrooms and will attempt to justify their decision in federal court September 26.

As a longtime defender of religious liberty, the ACLU is leading the legal challenge against the activists and political lobbyists who are attempting to insert their personal religious beliefs into science education, as if it were science. By trying to use governments to give the prestigious label of “science” to their beliefs, these activists are misleading children and parents and endanger religious freedom for all Americans.

So, I guess "religious liberty" only works one way, huh? Figures. Freedom for thee, but not for me. The way of the Liberal. Kinda funny how the ACLU’s position matches that of the Democratic Party, huh? My battered and well read copy of the Constitution fails to mention anything that would stop Intelligent Design from being taught at public school, as long as they do not teach one specific branch of any regligion.

This was a production of Stop The ACLUblogburst. Over 100 blogs are already on board. If you want to join us, just register through our portal. We will add you to our mailing list, and send you the info on how to get aboard and fight the ACLU. Boards already on board.

You’re kidding, right? How does opposing the placement of “Intelligent Design,” which is not a scientific theory, into the public school science curriculum qualify as an attack on freedom of religion? No one’s saying you can’t believe in an “Intelligent Designer,” but you certainly can’t present it as science.
