They keep telling us they love the troops, right? So it must be true, right? They "hate the war" but "love the troops." I mean, heck, even Code Pink loves the troops

Truly inspiring. Is it? Just a few links earlier off their home page, they call for Counter-Recruitment action. They want to keep those troops they love from recruiting people to protect the country. Cause, you know, that’s what the troops do.
November 17th-November 18th: Not Your Soldier Student Day of Action and National Stand Down Day: On the national “Not Your Soldier†Day of Action, November 17th, students will stand up to resist the presence of military recruiters on school campuses. In solidarity, on November 18th, adults will unite with youth and declare a “National Stand Down Day†to protest at local recruiting stations. Here’s another wonderful example of how the so-called “progressive†movement supports our troops: Leave My Child Alone. (Hat tip: Maggie.)
And, yes, LMCA is a far Left organization, with associations such as ACORN (Association of Community Organizations For Reform Now) and Working Assests.
But they love the troops.
You would think that the Left would worry that if the troops were brought home they would be used to round up and arrest insanolibs, starting with John Kerry and Howard Dean. I guess we will have to wait for that conspiracy theory when we are done in Iraq.
My sophomore year in high school they pamphlets detailing how many female got raped a year at a naval academy. They also informed of “student rights” to pass out fliers of our own. The whole thing to me seemed counterproductive.
It’s just SO ironic knowing that those same a-holes wouldn’t even be able to speak freely without those troops they so despise.
To quote Gen. MacArthur:
“There is no one who prays for peace more fervently than the soldier, because it is he who will bear war’s deepest wounds.”
