Schumer really worries me
Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., meanwhile, pressed Alito on whether he still stands by his 1985 comment that he did not believe the Constitution includes the right to an abortion. Alito refused to answer the question, saying only that he would have an "open mind" on abortion issues and that he would start from the point of view that previous court decisions should be given weight.
"We can only conclude that if the question came before you it is very likely that you would vote to overrule Roe v. Wade," Schumer said.
Chuck’s fixation on abortion makes me wonder if he is going to melt down one day and start talking about HIS Right to an abortion, and how the neocons are trying to prevent HIM from getting one. I think he has forgotten that his is a male (so they say) and past menapause age.
Not such a strange thing when you realize it’s Washington….which is filled with lovely little (and some not so little = aka Monica) interns!
No wonder so many Senators are worried about Roe vs. Wade.
Ted Kennedy is the one I would like to strangle the most….doesn’t stand for the little guy.
Chuck is a very strange fellow, as are most of the Dems in congress.
It is utterly amazing to me that people keep reelecting Ted. The things they will put up with in Mass is amazing!
