Al Gore Running In 2008?

Captain Ed has the FYI on this, via Dick Morris at The Hill. From Dick:

Like a completely refurbished “pre-owned vehicle,” Al Gore seems to be positioning himself to Hillary Clinton’s left and as greener than John Kerry for a run at the 2008 Democratic nomination for president. His slogan might well read “reelect Al Gore.”

Oh, please, please, please, please, please, please, etc, let Al run. I voted for him in 2000, and I used to like him for his environmental policies, but Gore is so many beers short of a six pack that he owes the convenience store down the road.

Captain Ed writes:

Republicans should be delighted with this turn of events. Gore narrowly lost when running as a centrist. Just wait to see what happens when he tries running again after five years of paranoid-conspiracy theories flying out of his mouth. There won’t be enough air time in the world to broadcast the commercials that the GOP would produce.

I would be positively giddy. Get Al Franken to run for the Senate in Minn, and we could have the Al&Al Democratic Insanity Review. Both of them like to foam at the mouth, and perhaps Franken could teach Gore how to physically assault people. Could put it on Broadway. Because it won’t make Pennsylvania Ave.

Gee, that was coherent. Please refill your Prozac prescription.

PS: thanks for the laughs. Nothing like a “tolerant” liberal. So unhinged.

Gee, Teach. At least you’ve come to your senses (like many others who voted for Gore).

But it is very difficult not to believe that many are mentally unhinged when you listen (or read) some comments in the left. To be sure the GOP ad agencies would have a field day picking over some of Gore’s speeches in the last few years if he did get the 2008 nomination.

They could make a Mastercard Priceless commercial out of it that is pro-GOP :)
