Don’t Take Drugs, Get Suspended

This is what happens in a nanny state system:

The case of a 12-year-old Longueuil boy suspended from school when his mother refused to give him Ritalin has sparked concerns over who is in charge of the medicine cabinet.

Do parents have the right to say “no” when their child’s school says they need prescription drugs?

“Absolutely, they do,” said Montreal family law lawyer Alan Stein.

Once again, proof that socialist systems just do not work, and, are actually dangerous. With all due respect to my Canadian friends, we see how poor the Canadian socialized health care system works, how it effects their economy, and how it works in their schools. And this is what the American Left wants to go to, and is doing all they can to make it happen. What business does a school have in telling parents what drugs to give their kids? Maybe schools should spend more time teaching kids acutal knowledge, rather then worrying about the what drugs they need to take, or in social skills.

  1. I’ve heard about these scenarios in the US too! I have heard that schools have not offered parents extra help because theywon’t medicate. However, this is not a law and they have rights if that is suggested.

Sadly, this is not the first case. And know what happens next? They get the parents in trouble for truancy! Seriously, that has happened in this country. And the step after that? Take the child away because the parents are unfit — give the child to “the state,” and then the state gives them all the drugs they want.

Yes, the education system IS beyond repair in America.

If we aren’t careful, we could end up with the same issues that Canada has as shown by this article.
