PPS: ta hell with it. The Howl Theme does the same thing that Johnny Bravo does: sometimes popup comments work, sometimes not. Not even going to waste my time beyond dealing with the Index.
FYI: if you are trying a new theme, start with the Header and Index. Make sure everthing works to your satisfaction before going for the sidebar.
