You just knew that the whole Duke Lacrosse v. The Stripper Exotic Dancer was going to start getting nasty at some point (via the AP)
DURHAM, N.C. – A woman who claims she was raped by members of Duke University’s lacrosse team was described as “just passed-out drunk” by one of the first police officers to see her, according to a recording of radio traffic obtained Thursday by The Associated Press.
The conversation between the officer and a police dispatcher took place about 1:30 a.m. March 14, about five minutes after a grocery store security guard called 911 to report a woman in the parking lot who would not get out of someone else’s car.
The officer gave the dispatcher the police code for an intoxicated person and said the woman was unconscious. When asked whether she needed medical help, the officer said: “She’s breathing and appears to be fine. She’s not in distress. She’s just passed-out drunk.”
Well, OK, it’s not really that nasty, but you know that all the “civil rights” pundits will say that someone is trying to ruin her reputation. Meanwhile, those of the lacrosse players are in tatters, without even having been charged with a crime.
Just for the record, if anyone did rape, beat, and sodomize her, then they should do long time. Innocent till proven guilty, though.
Totally agree with you. I know a bit about being falsely accused.
They, and anyone else should be considered totally innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Isn’t that what liberals always say, “alledged”, etc, except for PC, or non-liberals.
They’re in a bad position facing a PC procutor who was about to lose an election and now see’s a way to win by destroying over 30 young men’s lives, guilty or not. Maybe the people of Durham aren’t as stupid as the PC crowd and racist think. Funny how this became a racist thing overnight and the Blacks that killed a white college student are simply poor misguided young men, no hate crime there.
Unfortunately, in Durham, racism is a big issue, and this case will loom large in the election. Those kids, guilty or not, are in for a rough ride.
