I was out and about, basically not finding what I wanted to get, when I saw some nasty clouds coming. Stopped in the grocery store, then all of a sudden I could tell that it was hail hitting the roof.
Power went out briefly a few times, and you should have seen the rain coming down, and the associated wind.
Finally got my groceries, and headed home. Leaves and branches down all over the place, pine cones all over the road.
It wasn’t till I started driving by the fairways (I live on a golf course) that I could see what was left of the hail. Check it out (click photo’s for full size)
Update: as mentioned in the comments, a second round of storms knocked out my ac/heat system, and it isn’t the circuit breaker, and the TV will no longer accept commands from the remotes with a very close lightning strike. This should make for a fun Monday.
I was on my way through Cary on my way to work – holy cow, was that a pounding.
I hope the power stayed on at the house – I left the CatSitter DVD playing….
My AC/heat system is off, and my tv no longer excepts remote control options.
Hope you made out better, Russ
The lightning apparently hit our computers- but hey, it doubled our sales numbers! Never mind we have no idea what actually came in…
All Bush’s fault, you know, for not signing Kyoto :)
