You remember Gov. Kathleen Blanco Of Louisiana, she of the "was I supposed to ask for help?" during Katrina. She who was worried more about what she was wearing then anything else during and after Katrina. She who the Left assiged zero blame for what happened in her State before, during, and after Katrina, regarding plans and responses. She was their darling. But, will they turn on her now?

Louisiana Democratic Gov. Kathleen Blanco signed into law a ban on most abortions, which would be triggered if the U.S. Supreme Court overturns its 1973 ruling legalizing the procedure, a spokesman said on Saturday. The ban would apply to all abortions, even in cases of rape or incest, except when the mother's life is threatened. It is similar to a South Dakota law that has become the latest focus of the abortion battle.

It doesn't matter that the Supreme Court will likely not turn over Roe v. Wade. The best that could be hoped for would be that they would say it is up to the States. But the Left is against any and all restrictions on abortion, even something simple, like banning late term abortions and allowing parental notification. They freaked out about the South Dakota law, signed by a Republican. Will they freak out and go after a Dem?

You can plainly see where the priorities of the Dems lie. Of course, they completely vindicated her for her actions, or lack thereof, regarding Hurricane Katrina.

Oh, and just to be clear, the legislature of Louisianna is majority Democratic.
