Happy Sunday! This one is by Pearl Frush.
On this day in history:
- Â 1868 – Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina were readmitted to the Union.
- Â 1876 – Lt. Col. Custer and the U.S. 7th Cavalry were wiped out by Sioux and Cheyenne Indians at Little Big Horn in Montana. The event is known as “Custer’s Last Stand.”
- Â 1917 – The first American fighting troops landed in France.
- Â 1950 – North Korea invaded South Korea initiating the Korean War
- Â 1962 – The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the use of unofficial non-denominational prayer in public schools was unconstitutional.
- And, as Michelle Malkin points out:Â 1996 – Outside the Khobar Towers near Dhahran, Saudi Arabia a truck bomb exploded. The bomb killed 19 Americans and injured over 500 Saudis and Americans.
After a quick perusal of the Left Leaning media, nary a blurb about Kobar Towers, after which Clinton did…..nothing.
I still want that patriotic man pinups or better yet, a captain jack sparrow pinup rotation would be nice. hehehehehehe
I’ll see what I can do.
