Did you know that Democrats have real plans for America's security? Really, they do. Or so they say

We will protect Americans at home and lead the world by telling the truth to our troops, our citizens and our allies. We believe in a strong national defense that is both tough and smart, recognizing that homeland security begins with hometown security.

Democrats have a plan that is comprehensive– from repairing our military, to winning the war on terror, to protecting our homeland security, to ensuring success in Iraq and freeing America of its dependence on foreign oil–and it will finally prepare America for the security needs of the 21st Century. And we honor the sacrifices our troops, their families and veterans by making sure we take care of them when they come home.

Democrats are unwavering in our commitment to keep our nation safe. For Democrats, homeland security begins with hometown security. That's why we led the fight to create the Department of Homeland Security and continue to fight to ensure that our ports, nuclear and chemical plants, and other sensitive facilities are secured against attack and support increased funding for our first responders and programs like the COPS program so we keep our communities safe. We want to close the remaining gaps in our security by enacting the 9/11 Commission recommendations.

Unfortunately, that is it. Three paragraphs, with no details. The rest of the "security" page is devoted to complaints and whining.

But, the proof is in the pudding. They have complained about every single measure that the GOP and the Bush administration has put in place, and, in the few instances that Bush tries to do something that they say needs to be done, they complain that it is "not enough."

One of the huge gaps in security is the border issue. Yet, the Democrats come down on the side of open borders and illegal immigrants.

They honor the service of the troops by calling them murderers and baby killers. They call their service a lie.

And, the elected democrats, from the Federal level down, have forgotten that *gasp* they have the ability to introduce legislation. If they are so worried about port security, why not introduce a Bill about it? Same for nuclear plants and first responders?

Why? Because they do not really care. They do not really believe that the Global War on Terror is real. They see 9/11 as an isolated incident, and that it is actually America's fault. And they see the security issue, something which they have been week on since the late 60's, as just another issue for political pandering. But, where they to win power, would weaken America's security. Period.

And the Democrats own official website has gone kooksville, just like their Party chair.
