From the Sunday Times (hey, don't look at me, I know it is Friday)
A group of 10 French and Belgian Islamists deported from Egypt and suspected of links with terrorist organisations in Belgium have arrived in their respective home countries, judicial sources said.
The group arrived in Brussels, from where the eight French nationals were transferred to Paris and detained at the French police’s anti-terror division.
Hmm, so the French do have some cajones
Wait, there is shocking news
The suspected Islamists expelled on Thursday are Muslims of North African origin, with an average age of 25.
Belgian authorities said the two Belgians detained in Cairo – aged 22 and 28 and both of Moroccan origin – could be linked to two others arrested recently in the Saudi city of Medina.
I thought they were going to be Protestants, Jews, or Catholics. Imagine my surprise when they turned out to be Muslims.
The Washington Post has an interesting blurb regarding the deportation
Security officials said the suspects had a relationship with Omar Abdullah, also known as Omar Hamra, the leader of the Islamic militant group Tawhid and Jihad, who killed himself last month by detonating an explosives belt while trying to cross into Lebanon from Syria. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue.
Egypt can keep the American. He wanted to play with fire, he can pay the penalty for it.
