Morning, Jebediah Murphy here for White Trash Wednesday. As most of you know, their were a bunch of air strikes by the United States in a small part of Somalia the past few days, and, a big time Al Qaeda terrorist was killed. Or, as CNN headlines it, an Al Qaeda militant (friggin' sad)
A senior al Qaeda suspect wanted for bombing U.S. embassies in East Africa has been killed, a Somali official said Wednesday as witnesses said U.S forces launched a third day of airstrikes.
The death of al Qaeda suspect Fazul Abdullah Mohammed was detailed in an American intelligence report passed on to the Somali authorities. Mohammed, one of the FBI's most wanted terrorists who has evaded capture for eight years, was allegedly harbored by a Somali Islamic movement that had challenged this country's Ethiopian-backed government for power.
Mohammed, 32, joined al Qaeda in Afghanistan and trained there with Osama bin Laden, the terror network's leader, according to the transcript of an FBI interrogation of a known associate. He has a $5 million price on his head for allegedly planning the 1998 attacks on the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania that killed 225 people.
He is also suspected of planning the car bombing of a beach resort in Kenya and the near simultaneous attempt to shoot down an Israeli airliner in 2002. Ten Kenyans and three Israelis were killed in the blast at the hotel. The missiles missed the airliner.
Sure sounds like a terrorist to me. How about you?
Now, this guy bombed our embassies. He killed Americans. He is directly associated with the group who perpetrated September 11th. So, how do the DUmmies feel about it?
Start with this thread:
- How many people did we kill just to get one SUSPECTED terrorist? I guess I should be excited. After all, we killed a Very Bad Man, a Terrahist. Nevermind the fact that he was never indicted for any crimes. I just wonder how many families will never see their fathers, mothers, or children again because of the Madman-in-Chief's actions?
- Sometimes you gotta break a few omlets in order to make an egg………..or something like that. Sarcasm
- Over a million worldwide since the Supreme Court gave Bush victory in 2000.
- Exactly When did we begin to believe that it was okay to kill innocent people just to get a bad guy? About the same time we began to think it was all right to presume peoiple guilty and make them prove their innocence, I guess. (you mean like Rove, Scooter Libby, heck, every Republican)
Moving on to next thread
- Suspected al-Qaida, suspected terrorists, suspected militants…One thing is for sure, Innocent people are being killed on a daily basis on someone's opinion.
What happens when someone tires of us, U.S. bombing wedding parties and school lunches and decides to take out the real source of the terrorist activities and we lose the nations capital and most of our historic land marks there?
Does anyone have a GIF of a bleeding heart?
Speaking of bleeding hearts, how about the Hufftard Post?
- Rather well timed… You might almost suspect that this was a PR stunt…
- Somalia has lots of natural gas.
- Google the key words "oil" and "Somalia". Interesting information pops up. Wherever there is oil, the's "terrists".
- U.S. Invades Yet Another Sovereign State
- You reap what you sow. Without justice there will be no peace. International corporatism and the military forces of imperialism have created the oppression and perpetuated the poverty that guarantees unrest and ultimately, revolution.
- looks like shrub needs to step up his terrorist recruitment efforts. he's probably recruited as many as he can get in iraq and iran and needs more fertile ground to breed freedom haters. (Got that? It is all the USA's fault)
- How does one launch an attack against suspected members of a group that doesn't exist, like Al Qaeda. I guess the US created Al Qaeda so that they could hang the name on any individual or group that performed any activities that don't serve US interests and then attack them under the guise of conducting a endless, mission-less War on Terror. What a steaming, stinking pile of bullshit…………………… (wins the top award for nuttiest comment. Did I mention that these are only from page one of the comments?)
There you have it. Conspiracy theory, hang wringing, blame America first, terrorist sympathy. Typical modern liberalism. John F. Kennedy would slap their faces.
Oh, did I mention this from the CNN story?
Somalia's president said the U.S. attacks had his support.
So far at least 31 civilians, including a newlywed couple, have been killed in strikes, according to a Somali lawmaker. The report could not be independently verified.
What now, libs? For myself, I have to take a shower with lye soap to get the dumpster diving filth off.
Hot Air has an interesting article on where most of the Somali Islamic funding is coming from.
Captain Ed has the spirit: "We've taken down one mastermind responsible for attacks on America. Hopefully, more will be forthcoming."

Today’s the day (and Open Trackbacks)…
Today’s the big day for President George W. Bush’s speech on his new way forward in Iraq. Politicians have already taken 50 paces, turned and drawn their weapons, ready to fire away at each other even before they know the…

New Video Appears to Show Body of Saddam After Hanging
Isn’t it funny that everyone chooses to ignore the fact that the government (sush as it is) ask the United States for help in ridding themselve of the Islamic terrorists, including the leadership. That is the only reason we are there. Of course the left wing scatter brains never accept anything ‘good’ that the United States does, but they’re patroitic, just ask them. I only question who they are patroitic to? One thing is clear, if Islam is around there is murder, rape and terrorism.
We’re evil, in their world. But, yes, don’t call them unpatriotic.
