Ted Nolan, coach of the Islanders, has stated that watching the Devils is like "watching chess." Perhaps for those whose teams are getting waxed by the Devils, who have 3 Cups, four appearences, missed the Playoffs only once since 1994, and six Division titles, and are well on their way to a 7th.
Perhaps Ted is bored watching Marty Brodeur, one of the best goalies ever, record his 11th straight season with 30 wins. Or, maybe he is upset over the NHL leading 9th shutout of the season. Or maybe that the Devils are 16 points ahead of the Isles, and the Isles are several points out of a Playoff spot. Again.
I always thought the point of sports was winning. Which the Devs do plenty of. Get over it, haters.
