This is what you voted for, folks, either by filling in the dot for a Democrat, or staying away from the ballot box
The repercussions of an airline's decision to remove a group of imams from a commercial flight in Minneapolis could be heard in Congress this year, with civil rights groups pushing Democratic lawmakers to ban racial profiling.
The incident happened in November, made national news and reinvigorated an old proposal that got little attention from the GOP.
Now, a champion of the legislation, Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., is chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, which has jurisdiction on the issue. Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., who sponsored legislation to ban racial profiling in the last Congress, now chairs the Judiciary subcommittee on the Constitution.
No bill has been introduced so far, but Feingold made it clear the issue will be a priority for him.
"Many law-abiding African Americans, Arab Americans, Latino Americans and others live with the fear of being racially profiled as they go about their everyday lives," Feingold said. Although the vast majority of law enforcement officers don't engage in the practice, he added, some do and it must be addressed.
We warned you that the Democrats would continue to subvert our National Security if elected, and that is exactly what they are attempting to do here. They did all they could with their rhetoric and actions, in cahoots with the media, to harm our security for, as people called it, political gain. Many pundits, like myself, said, this was not just for political gain, but what the Democrats actually stand for.
Democrats like Russ "censor the president for protecting the American People" Feingold can try and obfuscate the issue, but their is a reason people are profiled. There is a predominantely black neighborhood up near the George Washington Bridge in NYC, with a park that is known for dealing drugs. Might a white person coming in to that neighborhood be profiled? I think so, and they should be.
"The 9/11 atrocity was committed by 19 young single men from Arab nations. If you want to hand this country over to terrorists, why don't you say it right out front?" said Peter Gadiel of 9/11 Familes for a Secure America, whose son, James, died in the attacks on the World Trade Center. "We don't have to worry about 80-year-old ladies with bleach-blonde hair and southern accents."
Democrats do not care. They believe, or should I say, feel, deeply that if we were just nicer to the terrorist sand apes that they would just leave us alone. They either have no understanding of Islam, or refuse to believe that its goal, as written in the Koran, is to take over the world. That is not rhetoric, it is a stated goal, with people either converting, becoming dhimmi's, or dying at swordpoint. It isn't Grandma's from Wichita with their huge bra clasps that are hijacking planes, blowing themselves and others up, and beheading infidels.
"It would have the effect of estranging police officers from the community that they serve," said Jim Pasco, executive director of the Fraternal Order of Police. "It would make them more hesitant to stop people who might well be in violation of the law for fear that they're going to get written up because of some racial protocol."
Democrats are all for the police when it is politically expedient, but, does anyone want to bet that they will ignore any and all advice from them over this issue?
If this legislation is passed, President Bush will be left in a precarious position. If he approves it, he will be destroyed by Conservatives. If he veto's it, he will be branded, along with Republicans, as racist, which will be screamed from almost every media outlet and by the Democratic Congressional Critters. And the Islam terrorists and illegal aliens will laugh and laugh.
