Frustrated by the slow pace of recovery efforts along the Gulf Coast, Rep. Charlie Melancon (D-La.) criticized House Democratic leaders for doing too little to address the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Melancon Wednesday dialed up the New Orleans Times-Picayune to voice his frustration with Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in particular — Melancon and Pelosi spoke by phone that evening to make amends.
See? Pelosi hates black people. She doesn't care about New Orleans. She should be down there "doing something." Over a year since Hurricane Katrina, and she hasn't done anything. I bet she probably wants black people eating black people. Will she bomb the levies next?
And, how about Latino's?
The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) is on the verge of falling apart. At least two more women and three men have threatened to resign if chairman Joe Baca (D-Calif.) refuses to apologize and make reforms in the wake of allegedly calling Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Calif.) a “whore,” say caucus members.
Why is Pelosi, as the House Speaker, the most powerful woman in America, out there "doing something?" Why is she not engaging the warring parties in dialogue? Setting the standard? Leading? I guess she doesn't care because there is not oil in Ca, NY, and Arizona. I bet she new about the bruhaha prior to it happening.
