Which is totally wrong. Roosters fight non-stop. I’ve separated and/or killed roosters because they were just too mean. The killings came from the abuse they were constantly inflicting, not just the other chickens, but us as well. I love hearing my husband tell the story of when I had had it with two of my roosters, and wrung their necks and was carrying them out to the back ditch to toss them into. He just happened to be pulling up at the time and my statement of “I had finally had it with those two f*cking roosters” kind of sent a chill through him. heh. Enough about me, sorry. Funny video.
Those two chickens took charge all right! They looked like they gave the two rabbits what-for afterwards, too.
Stacy: You threw the roosters away? There’s some good soup meat on even the oldest bird. Never waste good food.
I know, I know; soup chickens. But tossing them out back knowing the foxes and coyotes would chow them was pretty satisfying.
See, that was very environmentally friendly, Stacy, feeding the indigenous carnivore populations :)
