For today's bit of insensitivity, let's look at Alec Baldwin.

By now, you have probably heard his major rant as his 11 or 12 year old daughter, he isn't sure which, which you can hear over at TMZ. Actually, you should read all the posts at TMZ over the past few days, such as Baldwin mocking his daughters affinity for dancing and movies, and his ridiculous apology

Alec Baldwin swung back at wife Kim Basinger, slamming "certain people" who he says, "will go to any lengths to embarass [sic] me and to disrupt my relationship with my daughter."

Sounds like Baldwin is doing just fine without Basinger's help. Like so many others on the left, he is insanely angry. How else to explain his rant as his 11, 12, whatever, year old daughter, which includes what I take to be threats of violence against a minor.

In my moment of insensitivity, it occurs to me that Alec has another issue. Isn't he one of the crazy libs who believe Man is mostly responsible for global warming? Heck, the nutjob even stated, in print no less, that Iraq was one of the causes

All around us are signs of global climate change. And this administration's response is to send in more troops. If you don't think there is a link between the weather and Iraq, you are wrong.

Yikes! He shoulda pulled a Pandagon and erased that post.

Our country must lead the way in global energy strategies that will, somehow, convince countries like China not to spend decades to come burning trillions of tons of fossil fuels to grow their economies in the way we did. It is the most important work we can do now, on par with "fighting terrorism."

Yes, we must fight against the damned Sun!!!!!

Anyhow,

"And when I come out there next week, I'm going to fly out there for the day just to straighten you out on this issue. I'm going to let you know just how disappointed in you I am and how angry I am with you that you've done this to me again. You've made me feel like s**t. And you've made me feel like a fool over and over and over again. And this crap you pull on me with this goddamn phone situation that you would never dream of doing to your mother. And you do it to me constantly and over and over again.

"… I'm coming out there for the day, and I'm going to straighten your a** out when I see you. Do you understand me? I'm going to really make sure you get it. Then I'm going to get on a plane and turn around and go home so you better be ready Friday, the 20th, to meet with me because I'm going to let you know just how I feel about what a rude little pig you really are. You are a rude, thoughtless little pig, okay?"

So, he is going to fly out to the west coast for the day, then fly back? How much CO2 would that little junket put in the atmosphere? How many carbon offsets would Mr. Rage need?

Actually, what Alec needs is rage offsets (yes, I see the typo, but, I erased the main file). And Prozac. Lots and lots of Prozac.
