WTW: Jailed Border Patrol Families Have It Tough

Morning, y'all, Jebediah Murphy here. Ya know, its been awhile since Teach touched on the jailed Border Patrol familes, what with all the surrender talk coming from the Democratic leaders. Well, this was a story I reckon just jumped out at me

(CNSNews.com) – Monica Ramos is trying to hold on to her home while working as an administrative assistant and raising three boys — ages 14, 9 and 7 — who are having trouble adjusting to their father's enforced absence.

Patty Compean's three children are also trying to adjust to living without their father since January. Her 12-year-old daughter is no longer making the honor roll at school, while her 3-year-old son has become more anxious, and she's struggling to raise a 7-month-old baby. Moreover, the family had to sell their house to pay for legal expenses.

The two Texan families have been disrupted by the jailing of their husbands and fathers, Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, in January. The two, former U.S. Border Patrol agents, are serving sentences of 11 and 12 years respectively for shooting a Mexican national who was smuggling drugs across the Texas border.

Of course, this story only appears at CNS News, none in the liberal media are touching it. Heck, the story of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean has barely been touched on by most of the Big Media. Why? Probably because the two agents "violated the civil rights" of an illegal who was smuggling drugs. Can't have that in liberal world. That said, it still surprises me that liberals support illegals, because the hard work ethic of so many illegals really does threaten the jobs of all those lazy libs.

The most interesting thing about the story that it highlights the hardships that the families are going through as they are separated from their fathers. Isn't that the refrain that the illegal alien supporters use? For instance

San Rafael Mayor Al Boro in March called on California's U.S. senators, Democrats Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein, to push the immigration agency to change how it is enforcing immigration law because he believed children were the ones being hurt.

Well, Compean and Ramos were sent to jail for supposedly breaking the law, and they have been separated from their familes. Looks like their familes are being hurt, doesn't it? Daddy will be gone for the children's formative years (unless President Bush gets off his ass and pardons them already.) Where is the compassion for these legal citizens of the United States, who were just trying to do their jobs and provide for their families?

Illegal immigrants are definately breaking our laws. Yet so many are worried about breaking up the families. Why not the Border Patrol Agents families?

Which begs a sidebar question: so many of the liberal women's groups, such as NOW, Emily's List, and NARAL, promote the idea that men are not needed to raise a family. Liberals buy in to this claptrap. So then why are liberals worried about taking daddy and deporting him or throwing him in jail, leaving the family fatherless?

Anyhow, if you haven't already, please sign the petition. For those that have, thank you. Please spread the word.

I gues there must not be too much of a market for conservative views in the news anymore. When things aren’t going well the conservatives really do seem to whine.
