Does This Partially Explain Leftard Behavior?

From ye olde BBC

Cannabis users are 40% more likely than non-users to suffer a psychotic illness such as schizophrenia, say UK experts.

The authors said the risk to any individual of getting schizophrenia remained low overall, but because cannabis use was so common, they estimated it could be a factor in 14% of psychotic problems among young adults in the UK.

However, they said they could not rule out the possibility that people at a higher risk of mental illness were more likely to use the drug.

It could certainly explain why some people answer every question with "because Bush…."

It could also explain

NEW YORK – Liberal activists are stepping up their campaign against Fox News Channel by pressuring advertisers not to patronize the network.

MoveOn.org, the Campaign for America’s Future and liberal blogs like DailyKos.com are asking thousands of supporters to monitor who is advertising on the network. Once a database is gathered, an organized phone-calling campaign will begin, said Jim Gilliam, vice president of media strategy for Brave New Films, a company that has made anti-Fox videos.

Wow, and leftards say us "neocons" are trying to take away their freedoms? It really just goes to show, liberals really cannot stand anything that does not meet their extremely narrow world view. Have you ever seen or heard of conservatives pulling this? It is one thing to boycott a company because of something, which I will give the nod to both sides, but quite another when you simply do not like a news outlet because it is pro-American and leans Right.

Can you imagine the hysterical outcry if conservatives tried this with, say, cBS? From our side, we will just laugh at these crazy moonbats.

Busted out of work update: In addition, to more it more specifically, Libs are always claiming that it is the Neocons who are destroying the Constitution, taking away 1st Amendment Rights. Now, the 1st is about government not restricting freedom of the press, but, you know how libs like to stretch the definitions. Would this not be exactly what they mean by damaging freedom of the press? These people really are unhinged (can’t get in to the DU at work)

  • UpInArms 5. I will be more than happy to never buy a product that supports that lying piece shit murdock rag station again in my life. Whatever it is, I’m certain I can live well enough without it. (I assume upinarms refers to filling out petitions)
  • frankly_fedup2 22. Doesn’t Murdock Own Myspace? Does this mean I have to give up my real friends on Myspace pages? (hmm, sounds like a good research project, and, if so, a good meme :)
  • Bitwit1234 7. If the republicans can do it we sure can. They got Whoopi Goldberg removed as Slim Fast spokesman. Why can’t we…if we do it in more numbers. My new ISP which I hate grrrrr. advertises on Fox News, but they advertise on every single site on our cable so they didn’t pick Fox News per se. (big differnce between the two, but, let’s go to the follow up)
  • iconoclastic cat 9. But by choosing Fox from among the group, they’re tainted. Dump them. nt (all you Conservatives who use Progressive Insurance, raise your hand  )
  • IanDB1 11. I do NOT patronize restaurants who show Fox Noise Channel– and I let them know it. (PS: you should see me police record)
  • PaulHo 20. So if the KKK has a tv station… (no need to go farther, ya knew there had to be a Nazi or KKK reference. Funny how the only party with a former KKK member is…….well, you know the rest)
  • Voltaire99 23. Economic resistance is the best politics. Just don’t tell Hillary. Economic resistance to the right wing business agenda is a good idea. It’s simple: spend your money where it won’t be used against you. Instead, support businesses that want and work toward sustaining the same world you do. (But what about the little guy who benefits from the right wing companies? Oh, yeah, I forgot, leftards hate WalMart, among others)
  • Politicub 32. Kick for liberal activism! I look forward to boycotting the Fox advertisers, and telling them why I’m doing it. (I do not think they care about people who stink up their businesses with hippy smell)
  • harun 35. What the advertisers need to know is this is not about Conservative s. Liberal. It is about Truth vs. Lies. Misleading people vs. informing them. Cheerleading vs reporting. (yup, cause it is bad in Liberal World to cheerlead for America, our troops, our economy, etc)
  • Doc Martin 38. This is an excellent point; we do favor freedom of speech (as long as it is neither pro-American nor conservative)

It’s a shame that BuyBlue is toast, would be an interesting way to compare some of the companies and their political donations to who advertise on FoxNews, since (never)MoveOn doesn’t have a list yet. However, I have seen Progressive Auto Insurance advertise quite a bit, and they give a ton to liberals/Democrats. Progressive donates virtually solely to Democrats. Peter Lewis is a major player in the far left circles. What’s that phrase? Oh, yes, hoist on theri own petard.
