First, we all know the incidents that occurred at Columbia regarding the Minutemen, right? Now
Amid angry demonstrations on campus and at the United Nations, Ahmadinejad was to deliver a speech and conduct a question-and-answer session at the university at 1:30 p.m. EDT, followed by a scheduled address to the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday.
The event has stirred a significant debate about free speech.
Over the weekend, Columbia University said it would welcome any notable figure visiting the United States — even Adolf Hitler — to speak to students and faculty at the Ivy League college.
But there are those who have questioned the New York college’s standards. They ask why a school that will not allow an ROTC program to be part of its curriculum would allow Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, one of America’s avowed enemies, onto its campus.
Liberal World in a nutshell. Ahmanutjob OK, ROTC evil.
BTW, for those liberals who do not understand, the Bill of Rights applies to American Citizens, not foreigners. Furthermore, we do not have diplomatic relations with Iran, and he has no diplomatic immunity by right, except to go to the UN building.
See Michelle Malkin for the latest news on Ahmanutjob.
Jay at Stop The ACLU has a roundup of posts regarding Ahmanutjob up.
Evening update: I did not get to listen to it today (dentists visit, standard checkup/cleaning plus TMJ in my jaw), but Greta has a good breakdown of the speech.

The Bill of Rights was enacted to LIMIT the power of the Federal Government, not to “give” rights to any person.
Which of these rights do you think do not apply to non citizens ? The right of free speech ?
Yes, you are partially right on that, John, to put it in a more technical way. However, to put it fully, the Bill of Rights limits what the Federal government, and, in some cases, all US government levels, from doing to its citizens and entities. Doesn’t mean they cannot do that to foreign citizens. If the fed want to limit the speech of someone from say, Iran, they have every Constitutional right to do so.
There are no Homosexuals in Iran!…
I watched Ahmadinejad’s speech at Columbia University today. Its being covered extensively over the blogs, so I will be brief. The man is smart, possibly brilliant, he is charming in the sense that a sociopath is charming, he had a Clintonesque quali….
