He must have had just enough Scotch to get this one done
Sen. Edward M. Kennedy yesterday introduced legislation to protect homosexuals under federal hate-crimes laws, attaching it to the defense authorization bill in a bid to make it difficult for President Bush to veto it as promised.
"The president has threatened to veto this legislation, but we can’t let that threat stop us from doing the right thing," said Mr. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat, adding that hate crimes are a form of domestic terrorism.
I’d like to say that this a Democrat thing, underhandedly attaching ryders like this to important bills, but, we know both parties will do it. However, that does not make it any less reprehensible. He knows it could get veto’d, but, he still attaches it. If the legislation is so fantastic, why not submit it for a vote, then to the President, on its own merits?
Anyhow, I think it is high time that hate crimes legislation be introduced to to protect the WASP male. TV commercials and shows, radio ads, you name it, we are getting abused. Hell, there is some big kerfuffle down in Louissianna, where six black kids beat up a white kid, even going as far as stomping on his head repeatedly. Sounds like a hate crime to me.
Blackbeard… do the right thing and VETO
unrighteousness! In the Final Judgement, the liberals will be in the LEFT line with the goats and I feel for the goats buddy! Marty Brodeur looked good in Philly a few days ago in the NJ Devils 3-1 win. DROP THE PUCK SOON, EH?
Hey, how about hate crimes against Christians? Can I get some special rights and permissions, too?
No, sorry Ogre, you have two strikes. Male, and Christian. You have rights taken away from you under Liberalism.
