Military projects like Star Wars have always caused liberals heartburn. God forbid we should have the ability to shoot down nuclear missiles headed our way! Granted, the biggest danger to us today from nukes is one being smuggled in, but there are still plenty of nuclear missiles out there, and countries like North Korea and Iran are attempting to make them, and nuclear weapons. Futhermore, while Russia may not be the threat they were during the Cold War, they still have them, and China certainly does.
How do the DUmmies respond?

- Great! I liked Edwards maybe the least before but now that Edwards is for getting rid of the $trillions in costs for a science-fiction-style-zap-anything-on-the-planet-in-a-second-military-machine I’ll seriously consider Edwards for my vote. Chris Dodd also said he’d get rid of senseless weapons but didn’t make the great specific statements Edwards did.
- To put it quite crudely… that takes some balls (figuratively, of course), especially running for President. Edwards keeps saying the right things. (if it took balls, his wife must have come up with it)
- Republicans love wasteful military spending they call it patriotism… as long as the wasteful spending goes to the corporations and not the tax paying people and workers for health care, the republicans fascist are then quite happy with billions of dollars being wasted by the “military-industrial complex”. (yeah, it’s not patriotic to want to protect our country, one of the primary purposes as laid out in the Constitution, which mentions zip about health care)
- Military Industrial Complex… I Fear They Will Do ALL THEY CAN to keep Edwards out of the WH! So many people I talk to really really are supporting Edwards, but many say he’s being hamstrung by MSM! And it IS true, he wants to burst some bubbles and far too many live in those bubbles! (booga booga!)
- The more I hear from Edwards the more I like him I think he has really evolved since 2004, and has gone from being pro-war to standing next to Kucinich as one of the true anti-war candidates in the race. I still think Kucinich is the best candidate, but I would be more than willing to support Edwards sometime in the future. Of the three front runners he is far and away the best. (In other words, Edwards panders for votes in the worst way)
- “Review of the Pentagon Budget, top to bottom, line by line” The man walks on water… (Edwards is now Jesus?)
- With the Bush Crime Family heavily reliant on pentagon waste for their treasury looting, John Edwards may soon be in the crosshairs of Bush’s private Blackwater army. That’s all the more reason he should be President. (a new conspiracy theory! Just when you thought they were done and couldn’t possibly create a new one)
But don’t say they are military haters!
