And, strangely, they fail to discuss rich liberals
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist David Cay Johnston joins us to talk about his new book, “Free Lunch: How the Wealthiest Americans Enrich Themselves at Government Expense (And Stick You with the Bill).†Johnston reveals how government subsidies and new regulations have quietly funneled money from the poor and the middle class to the rich and politically connected. DAVID CAY JOHNSTON: Well, I was struck, listening to the program from Kenya, where they talked about the president and his power to give money to people, give land, and that’s why many people identify with it. We have created in the United States, largely in the last thirty years, a whole series of programs—a few of them explicit, many of them deeply hidden—that take money from the pockets of the poor and the middle class and upper middle class and funnel it to the wealthiest people in America. And among the biggest recipients of these subsidies are the wealthiest family America, the Waltons; George Steinbrenner; Donald Trump; a whole host of healthcare billionaires. And these are policies that either have not been reported on or the news reporting on them generally has not informed people about what they really are.
Uh huh. Interestingly, the names Rockefeller, Kennedy, Kerry, Soros, Edwards, Clinton, Michael Moore, Chomsky, Streisand, Spielberg, etc and so on, never come up in the interview. I wonder why? There is some whining sans cheese about Bush 43, of course, can’t forgo the BDS, as well as some other conservatives (is Bush really a conservative?) such as Kay Bailey Hutchinson and, of course, The Gipper.
My question is, since the end of WWII, which party has controlled the House and the Senate the most? Control of the WH is about even. Who is passing the laws? Who is taking advantage of it?

well without a doubt during the last 20 years the Republicans have had more control of the United States government than the Democrats.
As you have often pointed out yourself even though the Democrats are in the majority in Congress they do not possess a WORKING majority. That is, the Republicans have been able to stop a great deal of legislation from leaving Congress.
However I think that there is a good chance that the Democrats will have a working majority after the next election. People who are willing to back up their beliefs with real money also are more inclined to believe this,

I don’t think we can stand more democrats at the national level but the dummies that elect them will be the ones to pay. Remember Shrillary’s promise, ‘we’re going to take from you for the benefit of other’. Will serve the democrats right if they go bust. America is so scared they’ll take charge that the job and stock markey are falling apart right now.
Gotta love the phony elite Demlibloonies… who get $400 haircuts and represent the poor, eh John Opee Edwards? Or the Arkansas Hillbillies who get the Hollyweirdos and kooks ‘r us to purchase their Chappaqua home for them, eh Bubba and Hellary? Or the William Jeffersons who wrap $100 bills – marked bills – and put them in his freezer, after his state gets hit hard by Katrina and the FBI raids, then has the balls to play a race / victim card? Yeah – the Democraps and Sandy ‘Stocking Stuffer Burglar’ Berger types! Blackbeard, let’s hear it for Kerry’s 19 Blue States of Socialism in 2004!! – No POLLS Needed 2008
