Let me aks you: do you think this came from the DU, Think Progress, ACLU, MoveOn, Daily Kos, Crooks and Liars, Firedoglake, Democrats.org, or some other liberal outlet?
The Supreme Court on Monday turned down a plea by environmental groups to rein in the Bush administration’s power to waive laws and regulations to speed construction of a fence along the U.S.-Mexican border.
What do you think? Would it surprise you that I found this at CBSnews.com, and that it is an AP story? Perhaps there is a reason the AP wants to charge to post an excerpt like that, in an attempt to keep bloggers and Interwebezers from even discussing what appears to be something you would find either on a far left site or talking points straight from the DNC.
Na, the AP just wants to make some money. It gets better, though
“I am extremely disappointed in the court’s decision,” Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., said. “This waiver will only prolong the department from addressing the real issue: their lack of a comprehensive border security plan.”
Thompson chairs the House Homeland Security Committee. He and 13 other House democrats – including six other committee chairs – filed a brief in support of the environmentalists’ appeal.
Nothing is stopping Bennie from, oh, I don’t know, doing his job as the chairperson and coming up with legislation. What’s stopping him?
Point two, why are Congresspeople filing these lawsuits? Is that really their job, as put forth by the Consitution?
Dr. Melissa Clouther catches the NY Times writing a similar completely biased first paragraph. Check out how close it is to the AP article I posted.
