I’m wondering if folks could pitch in a few cents here or there and purchase Nancy P. this wonderful framed copy of the 1st Amendment, in light of her latest San Fran hissy fit
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi blasted Sen. Joe Lieberman on Wednesday for making what she called “totally irresponsible” remarks about Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and warned that the Senate might retaliate by revoking Lieberman’s committee chairmanship.
Party above freedom. Party over speaking ones mind. Party over individuality. Why does the word Fascism come to mind?
Campaigning for Republican John McCain in York, Pa., on Tuesday, Lieberman appeared to question Obama’s patriotism when he called the election a choice “between one candidate, John McCain, who has always put his country first, worked across party lines to get things done, and one candidate that has not.”
Pelosi was asked by a caller on Owens’ show what could be done about the attacks from Lieberman, the Democrats’ 2000 vice presidential nominee who, though an independent, still caucuses with the Democrats in the Senate.
“You’re right,” Pelosi said. “Joe Lieberman has said things that are totally irresponsible when it comes to Barack Obama. Here we have a leader for the future, really a great leader for the future and one that comes along only every now and then, and they know it so they have to undermine him. And one of their best weapons, of course, is someone who is considered by some to be a Democrat.”
Interesting, considering that it was the moonbat base of the Democrat party who forced Joe to run as an Independent, and Joe was gracious enough, after beating the pants off his moonbat opponent, to continue working in Congress as a Democrat. Also, the liberal media puts any minor “used to be a Republican” on page 1A every time, using them as a weapon.
Finally, Nancy, this is politics, not war. Perhaps if you would spend that time decrying America’s real enemies, such as Al Qaeda, Iran, and others, those of us on the right wouldn’t call you part of the treason lobby. But, then, that is the way progressives see it, as a civil war against people who do not agree with their radical ideas.
If she tries to play this game, Joe could say “see ya,” making the Senate 50-50, with Darth Cheney the tie breaking vote.
Nancy does realize she doesn’t control the Senate, right? Dingy Harry best watch out, looks like Her Imperial Majesty might be trying to take over. And also managing to insult private citizens
Pelosi also chastised some of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s supporters for being “less than gracious” toward Obama, although she praised the New York senator for rallying behind the party’s nominee after a bitter primary fight.
Way to go, Nance! Stifling the free speech of private citizens.
You know, with the way the left tried to punk Joe last time around I cannot believe that he is still on speaking terms with them let alone still caucusing with the lefties.
Here is something else to consider….
Pelosi’s slap at Clinton’s supporters is not going to be ignored. I am thinking that at the Democratic Convention Hillary will let her supporters do her dirty work for her in disrupting the “harmonious environment” in Denver. Then in the event that Obama loses the presidential election, she (Clinton) and her supporters can claim the Democrats picked the wrong savior, which will automatically make her the front-runner in 2012.
Seriously, this is Clinton’s only shot. If Obama wins, her aspirations of becoming the first female president are gone. Obama would be the presumptive candidate in 2012 assuming he doesn’t pull an LBJ, which would make Hillary unable to run until 2016, when she would be 69 years old, which would possibly be too old to run (shhh, don’t tell John McCain).
So realistically it is in Hillary’s best interest for Obama to lose and if Clinton can have a hand in it without being directly involved would only benefit her. Or is that giving her too much credit for scheming out a plan?
