Following up on yesterdays story of a huge bust in Mississippi
As a result of yesterday’s enforcement action, approximately 595 illegal aliens were arrested by ICE special agents. Of those, approximately 106 were identified as being eligible for an alternative to detention based on humanitarian reasons. These individuals will still be required to appear before a federal immigration judge who will ultimately determine whether or not they will be deported.
Eight criminal cases have been accepted for prosecution by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Mississippi. The criminal cases are focused on charges of aggravated identity theft. The other cases are being handled via administrative law procedures at the Department of Homeland Security.
Good for ICE. I still think that the government should also focus much more of their ire on the companies that hire illegals, with massive fines and penalties. If there are no jobs, less illegals will come.

EDINBURG, Texas — Federal agents found 62 illegal immigrants in a two-bedroom house after receiving a tip about suspicious activity in a quiet neighborhood Tuesday.
Neighbors on both sides of the duplex where Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents found the immigrants were shocked by the news.
“I was just looking around thinking ‘where would they all fit,'” said Cris Melaragno, who lives in another duplex next door. “I barely have room for me and my three kids.”
And, before any bleeding hearts complain about the plight of those poor Mexicans
The undocumented immigrants hailed from a variety of Central American countries including Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Mexico, said ICE spokeswoman Adelina Pruneda.
Pretty sad that the words “undocumented immigrants” would appear in a Texas news site.
Anyhow, just like a few years of pennies, nickles, and dimes added up to $75 at one of those Coinstar machines last week, we are slowly getting the illegals. Hopefully, faster then they are streaming in.
