Barry himself says “Children without fathersin their lives are five times more likely to live in poverty and commit crime, nine times more likely to drop out of school, and 20 times more likely to end up in prison.” Being President is a 24/7 job, constantly on the move, in meetings, making decisions, pumping the flesh, meeting donors, talking to Congress. He has 2 children. How can he possibly put himself in a position where his kids do not really have a father and the influence of a father?
And the first Ladies have quite a bit to do, and Michelle Obama seems to be a major activist. So the kids will hardly ever see their mother. How can the Obama’s put their children in to such a position? How can they leave those kids without the love and guidance that only a parent can give? Will they just dump their kids into the type of child care system that Obama wants to pass? For SHAME!
Yes, it is a dumb, insulting, disgusting argument. But, it is almost the reverse of what many on the left are saying about Sarah Palin, ie, how can she have the time to take care of a young baby with Downs Syndrome while performing the job of Vice President. John Roberts of CNN was one of the first of the idiots to make the suggestion, and now the talking points are making the rounds from the Nutosphere. Along with saying she should have had an abortion, in the grand old tradition of Adolph Hitler, Paul Ehrlich, and Margaret Sanger.
If you scroll the the usual suspects in the Credentialed Media, you can see the sexism and ultra-partisanship in their assaults on Palin. Remember, these same folks barely said a word about the choice of Joe Biden, and all the baggage he carries.
Media Matters themselves noted all the sexism during the media coverage, though they didn’t bother denouncing it.
Disgusting and sexist comments emanated from Channel 7 in Denver, when they thought the mike was off. Michelle Malkin has the story.
Of course, there is nothing like a good feminist Democrat having a tissy and saying that the pick of Palin is a bad thing.
And, of course, Excitable Andy is having his normal hissy fit. Why does he even bother pushing his book anymore, since he is in the tank for No Experience Obama, who couldn’t be farther from a conservative?
Moving on to the nuts at Huffington Post
I’m going to be very blunt, here. I wish Senator McCain a very long and happy life. But, at age 72 with a history of cancer, John McCain may not live through his first term, if elected. That would make Sarah Palin our Commander in Chief. I, and other vets and troops, have about 60 days to determine if she’ll grow to be ready.
Jon Soltz then goes on to tell us that Obama has experience from chairing the foreign relations committee (a a committee, BTW, where he rarely showed up). But, we all know that when a Liberal talks about foreign affairs, they do not mean promoting America and protecting her and her interests, but making the big city French love us.
Anyhow, since I am going down to many alternate roads, what does Barry have to say?
“From the first moment a woman dared to speak that hope – dared to believe that the American Dream was meant for her too – ordinary women have taken on extraordinary odds to give their daughters the chance for something else; for a life more equal, more free, and filled with more opportunity than they ever had. In so many ways we have succeeded, but in so many areas we have much work left to do.â€
I read that, and I see a presidential candidate who would agree that disgusting and sexist attacks on Sarah Palin, including the ones that mention her “disabled” baby, are out of bounds and beyond the the pale, and should be stopped.
You tell ’em, Big O!
