Six days after sitting silently at Democratic U.S. Rep. Tim Mahoney’s side as he acknowledged causing â€pain†in their marriage, Terry Mahoney filed for divorce Monday.
She filed a petition in Palm Beach County Court seeking the dissolution of their 23-year marriage, possession of their Palm Beach Gardens home and â€a full accounting of all funds spent or dissipated by the husband within the last two years†— the period since Mahoney was elected to Congress on a â€faith, family and personal responsibility†platform in the aftermath of the Mark Foley sex scandal. …
She did stand up there on the podium originally, but, apparently, wiser thoughts prevailed. She refused to be a doormat.

Mahoney admitted he had an affair with a high-ranking Martin County government official whom he met last year when she and other county officials sought his help in obtaining a $3.4 million reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Hmm, that would seem to be a real ethics violation, i.e., improper conduct and influence peddling. In most companies, something like this would get you fired. Queen Nancy sure seems to be taking her time on the investigation. Of course, GOP challenger Tom Rooney is now up big in the local polls for that congressional seat.
Nice to see that the MSM is mostly ignoring the issue, too. No biggie, unlike Mark Foley.
