Israeli Airstrike: Hamas Threatens Violence For Attack Because Of Hamas Violence

Ceasefire ends. Hamas lobs missiles. Israeli bombs the crap out of them. Hamas threatens violence. Just another day for the religion of peace

Israeli aircraft launched air attacks across Gaza on Saturday, killing at least 150 people, including the Hamas police chief and other officials, according to Israeli and Palestinian sources.

Palestinian medical sources said 250 people were wounded.

The strikes followed several days of rocket attacks from Gaza into Israel.

A statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Israeli aircraft attacked “a series of Hamas targets and infrastructure facilities.”

“The Air Force activity came as a result of the continuation of terror activity by Hamas terror organization from the Gaza Strip, and the duration of rocket launching and targeting Israeli civilians,” the IDF statement said.

Hamas immediately threatened violent retaliation against Israel.

Anyone notice that the attacks from Gaza were barely covered by the Credentialed Media? Tiny stories, deep in websites and papers. And, of course, this story tends to focus on how badly the Palestinians were hurt. But, hey, if your out in the wilds and you mess with a bear, you’re going to get hurt. Especially after Rocket kills 2 children after Gaza border reopens.

Anyhow,

Hamas police stations were hit, killing many senior police commanders, the reporter said.

Maj. Gen. Tawfeeq Al-Jaber, a senior commander in the Hamas police force, was killed, Palestinian sources said.

Good. Take the little jihadi’s down.

Switching to YNet

Moussa Abu Marzouk, deputy head of Hamas’ Damascus-based political bureau, said his organization would retaliate. “We will defend our women and children by any means necessary. All the options are open,” he said.

Kinda hard to defend them when the terrorists hide behind them, surround their weapons caches with them, etc.

Senior Islamic Jihad figure Khaled el-Bash told Al-Jazeera that the IDF strikes “mean war.”

“Israel has declared an open war on the Palestinian people. This never would have happened had it not been for the Arab states’ silence. We will never surrender in the face of planes and tanks,” he said.

You might not surrender, but you will surely die.

Two interesting DU threads (here and here) to keep an eye on. Some are backing Israel, some are, as usual, backing the terrorists, including this gem

For a country ran by a group of people who demand that the world acknowledge their version of history as to what Nazi Germany did to their ancestors it sure does fly the true flag of the utmost hypocrisy! I think I’ll puke the next time I hear about the poor peoples of Israel. More like the poor people of Palestine! These acts of war crimes perpetrated against Gaza would make Hitler blush and Mengele turn in his grave. The international community should embargo Israel, demand it to pay reconstruction costs and send the leaders who are guilty of planning and ordering the actions accosted towards Gaza to the Hague on charges of crimes against humanity and genocide. Sound familiar?

On another note. Like it’s the Palestinians who were launching “homemade” rockets at Israel. It’s the mossad doing their dirty work, as usual, trying to divert the focus away from the crimes Israel is committing against Gaza and the magnitude of suffering they are causing women, children, and the elderly of Gaza, all with the excuse “hamas is a terrorist faction”. Hamas pales in comparison to Israel for being a terrorist faction. Hamas was democratically elected, for Israel to denounce a legitimate election is another reason for the west to embargo them.

Yikes!

More: It would probably be easy to snark at what appears to be some NY Times bias towards those poor Palestinian terrorists, but, after the headline and the first three paragraphs, looks like the Times has little sympathy

Though Israel had been threatening to end its policy of restraint that saw only limited strikes against rocket launchers and squads in recent days, the timing of the raid came as a surprise to Gazans. It came in mid-morning, when official buildings and security compounds were filled with personnel and children were at school, and not, as many had anticipated, at night.

Expecting some kind of Israeli response, the Hamas leaders in Gaza had already been in hiding for two days.

Poor babies. How dare Israel attack at the wrong time. Notice the leaders were already in hiding, leaving everyone else to be out in the open. Brave folks, those Islamist leaders.

Ed Morrissey:

The world should step aside and quit interfering in the war Hamas so desperately wants and will desperately lose if left to their own devices. As long as Hamas controls Gaza, a state of war exists, and cease-fires do nothing to advance peace, as this year has proven yet again. Tiresome calls for “restraint” don’t work when one side is determined to have war. The best way to resolve this conflict is to allow Hamas to have its war and get utterly crushed by Israel or overthrown by Gazans to avoid that unavoidable conclusion.

Huzzah!

Interestingly, what will Obama do if this starts getting more out of control, as has happened many times? He will have his hands full, so, he best be ready, particularly as his base calls for abandoning Israel and even supporting Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the other Islamist groups in the area. Riggworld asks the same thing.

Others: Jules Crittedon, A Blog For All, Gateway Pundit, Tel-Chai Nation, Little Green Footballs (which has some video)

Woops! Why am I not surprised that the Huffington Post is taking the side of the Palestinians and using a story that is completely bias towards the sides of the terrorists?

There are completely unhinged, nasty nasty comments about Israel. Not that I am surprised, mind you.

More from the Liberal-o-sphere:

Excitable Matt Yglesias is blaming it all on Israel, making them out to be the bad guys.

Crooks and Liars blames it on Bush. Might be time to MoveOn from the BDS, guys.

Firedoglake has a standard hissy fit, taking the “so, Hamas only killed one Israeli” with their continued attacks, so “why be so mean back?” road.

Femeniste:  “This is f*cked up. That’s all I’m going to say. And my thoughts are with the Palestinians living in Gaza.”

Lawyers, Guns, And Money: “I assume most of our readers will (like me) see the Israeli response as disproportionate and also see Hamas’ apparent conviction that this time firing some rockets at civilian targets will achieve political and security goals is roughly as rational as the continuation of the American embargo against Cuba.”

Are you surprised?

A great number of people do not believe that the wars going on in
Iraq, Afghanistan and Israel are in anyway related. I believe that indirectly, they are.

Now that the war in Iraq has slowed down, resources for worldwide Jihad are being shifted elsewhere. Not all resources are, but a much larger amount than a few years ago. I have been expecting renewed violence throughout the Islamic world as a result of this. The upsurge in violence in Afghanistan, India and Israel along with some other areas are signs that this is in fact occurring. Many disagree, but this is how I see it.

    • Get Real says:

Why does not the world have a problem when some people wants to build a country based on religion. Everyone had problems with when a country was driven by race. Its white supremecy or jewish supremecy, is creating all the problems around the globe. Please, treat all humans equally and justly and the reward will certainly follow.

I treatment of millions of Gazan Muslims and the Nazi treatment of million of Jews,,what is the difference? Humans treating humans differently, and in humanely. As a human being how can you treat fellow human that way?

Just ask for once, if you are a human, do we treat all humans equally?

      • TheFox says:

The Gazan Muslims are the ones responsible for what happens to them. Stop attacking Israel and, nothing will be happen to them. Keep attacking Israel and, Israel will strike back. White supremacy or Jewish supremacy is not the problem around the world. Islam is. Islam creates terrorist. Because, Islam was created by a terrorist: Mohammad. Islam is a Cancer that the world would be better without. Islam does not belong in the 21st century. It is a false religion that should have died in the 13th century. Islam is terrorism. As long as we have Islam we will have terrorism.

        • Susu says:

SWEETIE YOUR AS INHUMANE AS THE ISRAELI’S KILLING THESE INNOCENT PEOPLE!This is the most ridiculous news story i’ve ever read on this news site. the article i just read makes it seem as if the Palestinians are the ones killing hundreds of people for no apparent reason. Palestians are not the ones bombing all the police stations for innocent people. The Israeli forces have taken it too far this time! it was heart breaking to see a little child waiting outside a hospital to get treatment while his whole face is full of blood. and to top it off what country wouldn’t fight back if there was an outside force trying to take over their country. the united states called war on Afghanistan after 9/11 when Osama Bin Laden attacked the world trade centers, so why can’t the Palestinians attack the Israeli’s when the Israeli’s have been tormenting them for years. this news story is just ridiculous, i think you guys should mention in this news story how the Israeli soldiers were shooting deadly gases at innocent people protesting all this violence, because i never knew that protesting is also something the Palestinians have been banned against by these inhumane people!!

        • TheFox says:

Susu. Are you brain dead or what? Stop attaching Israel and, the violence ends. There is no violence from Israel only from Hamas in Gaza. Israel retaliated for the hundreds of rockets that were fired at them. Stop shooting at Israel and, the violence is at an end. Hamas is 100% responsible for all the death and destruction that takes place in both Gaza and Israel. All the people killed and injured in both Gaza and Israel are Hamas fault not Israels. Hamas is just another Islamic terroist organization. The world is sick of Islamic terroist organization. Islam=terroism

        • Susu says:

Wow! im as Islamic as it gets sweetie and not once did i think about bombing a place or even killing a person. and i love how you use the word terrorist and Islam interchangeably, its kinda sad actually. the person who assassinated JFK was Lee Oswald, a christian man. Timothy McVeigh Terry Nichols were the american Christians who are non-Arab and non Muslims were the ones who bombed Oklahoma in 1995. Again they were non Arab Muslims, which means they were probably people exactly like you. Terrorists are all over the place, and are all types of people, including people like you, not just people like me. i am an Arab American Muslim and am not a terrorist and according to my religion which happens to be the Islamic faith, anyone who chooses to inflict that kind of pain on people whether they are Muslims like me or christian or Jewish like you they are going to hell. Islam does not support terrorism or the killing of people, it preaches against it. Again that might be another thing you might want to look up. Unless you can find me the verse in the Quran that tells you to kill people for no apparent reason then you have no right to go around making my faith sound like the wrongful one.

        • Joseph Fattal says:

If hitler would have finish his job we wouldn’t have that problem now. Well he didn’t. Now what we have palestinians as jews, and Israelis as german. In twenty years you will not have a palestinian left. For the israelis to open the blockade in gaza, then decide to attack with their air superiority make me wonder who was really behind the launching of the rockets into israel. Some Hamas member can be bought,as anyone else in a war zone. I don’t think the palestinians in gaza are dum enough to challenge the israelis military. The US need to stop sending weapons to the israelis, so they can’t use them against some stone thrower. The US and israel are responsible for that massacre. And as long the US take that “Blame it on hamas”, “Watch for the civilian” approach, israel will have its way.And beside how can you tell the difference between a hamas and a non-hamas.

      • Aviv says:

        Hello friend,
I’m sorry to say that you are not correct. Any Israeli will tell you that the reason we are attacking Hamas in the Gaza strip is not because of any race supremecy.
If we are “supreme”, why did we gave all “palestines” full control over the Gaza strip with no return or any given favor?
Your comment suggest you don’t know the real cause of this battle.
Even after the Israelis left the Gaza strip, the still continued to bomb our towns and citizens for more than EIGHT YEARS!
CAN YOU IMAGINE YOURSELF BEING BOMBED FOR EIGHT YEARS?
Ask them why they are bombing and you’ll get the same answer to why EL-KAIDA crashed airplanes in USA.

        – Aviv, Israel

        • mike says:

Israel is the real aggressor and has been bombing and killing Palestinians since they first stepped on Palestine 50 years ago. You are blinded by your zionist media into thinking the way you think. Innocent people are being killed in the hundreds in Gaza for one or two in israel. If someone stopped water, food, medicine, and fuel from getting to israel do you think your country would just sit quietly and you blame them for shooting low class rockets that hardly make it to your side. Come on who is occupying who ? who is dropping tons of bombs on who? is this not collective punishment? genocide and holocaust? is it right to kill innocent people for politics to win in the elections ? wait for the answers on the day of judgment.

  2. Mike Objective says:

Great coverage, keep on the good work.
a refreshing view of whats going on
(instead of the regular – poor terrorist they just want to live free b.s.)
By reading masive amounts of information on the web i conclude that every time there was a chance for
peace or some sort of normal living TERRORISTS have always ruined it , they benefit from disorder and gain better popularity
    when chaos is inhibited.

  3. Michael says:

    I don’t understand the Byzantine politics over there,but I also cannot understand why Israel doesn’t deploy existing anti-projectile defenses (ie defense against homemade rockets) along the Gaza strip.Such systems have been operational for several years,and only cost a few million each.The Americans use them to protect large bases in Iraq from mortar attacks.I am referring to the Phalanx system,originally used as a last ditch defense at sea against anti-ship missiles. 8-}

    • Joel says:

What do you know about the Phalanx? Phalanx effectiveness is far from 100%. If you are on a ship and you start to hear it going, you crap your drawers as you might just die. It is the last line of defense everything else has failed. So you want Israel to deploy 20,000-100,000 phalanx very expensive and technologically sensitive units all over the cities to defend against rocket attacks because that is what it will take. You can’t just use a few hundred on the border cause the rockets fly over the the border and phalanx fires effectively only in a flat trajectory. Research a little before you came up with your solutions. Even if they did spend the $200 Billion on this defense system is it going to stop terrorist attacks? Terrorist have many weapons and they would just switch to something else that worked better. Thank god you are not directing the defense of our country.

  4. Lonnie says:

Of all the crap. Pretending that the home-made missles were the cause of this, when Israel commits targeted assasinations, cuts power, water, food and supplies whenever it wishes to incite a Hamas response, all in order to draw attention from the ongoing colonization and ethnic cleansing Israel is perpetrating on the West Bank. Does anyone remember when Hamas was elected and controlled the parliament in Gaza, Israel’s response was to invade and arrest the representatives? So much for Israel “leaving Gaza”. Gaza is the most densely populated place on Earth, a virtual prison, filled with refugees from Israel’s decades of apartheid and ethnic cleansing in Israel proper and the West Bank, in order to create the Jewish state and now a “greater Israel”.

You may laughingly call Islam “the religion of peace”, but Israeli Judaism seems to be “the religion of murder, theft and deception”.

    • Mike Objective says:

Hamas is terrorist group controlling most of the Palestinian people by force.
to say they were elected in peace (while ignoring there bloodshed of there rivals the fatah is a farce)
      for starters look how they

      1) They always provoke a bloody war (and get more positive to them of course publicity from it when Israel retaliates)
      2) They managed to control the Palestinian people frightening them into total submission.(through a massive bloodshed of the Fatah – a Palestinian political party)
      3) Manage to sway uninformed and simple people all over the world into believing they are the poor underdog, and all they care about is peace.

for accomplishing these 3 goals they are able to:
remove world interest from real travesty’s (or how you call it ‘ethnic cleansing’), which most of the world (and probably the people here) are oblivious to,
such as “Ugandan rebel group kills 35 civilians in DR Congo (27-12-08)” this is a daily matter for some parts of the world
i don’t play on the death count issue but for those of you who do, THOUSANDS (more correctly 100,000 deaths annually) caused in some region’s in Africa.
and no headlines for such atrocities, no public media organization making it an issue. i have watched many times when a single person in gaza got more attention world wide
then 30,50,100 people got, while both being killed by some group.

hamas gains from chaos, its power is in the unhappiness of people he get plenty of support and followers while situation is bad
any time a peace was on the way they have deliberately sabotaged it. ANY terror faction gains the most while there is hatred.
terror organizations should receive no mercy.

Number (3) is prob’ most helpful to hamas , unlike in Israel where they can condemn there government at times they think it has made mistakes (just look at there own media) and like many times before open trial against there officials.
on the other side IF ANY ONE is brave/stupid enough in the Palestinian authority to go out against its goverment/hamas/any public official he will not survive the next day

EVEN REPORTERS are not free to voice there opinion while in the Gaza strip (they will be killed or kidnapped if so, but they have to report something so they do very lightly)
here are references to such cases :
      http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14425949/
      http://archive.japantoday.com/jp/news/411331
      http://www.newssafety.com/index.php?view=article&catid=540%3Amedia-staff-kidnappings&id=7185%3Aa-reporters-fate-the-bbc-held-hostage-in-gaza&option=com_content&Itemid=100509

another disturbing fact is if they (hamas/Palestinian authority) wish to hide things they can , by simply threating to deny a news agency the right to work inside the area effectively threatening into submission.
      such as 9/11 : http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=57696
when news agency were threaten not to publish 9/11 celebrations in the Palestinian authority or there news license would be revoked.

I do not claim Israel is perfect not even close but they do have a set of morals which they obied by, Israel for years has supplied medical care and fuel and electricity to Palestinians as well as financial aid (are these the people of ethnic cleansing)
even now granting free medical care to people being injured BY HAMMAS !!

By voicing your opinion on line like now you are free to criticize any one you like but in the Palestinian authority you would probably be killed by the authority for voicing any non compliant opinions.

    • BJ says:

Lonnie: You protect the crazies. Hamas is just another Islamic organization that projects lies and deceipt. Frankly Israels response is too meek. A few mushroom clouds would drive those crazies back to Alaha where they can have their 27 virgins. You are brainwashed by yoiur fellow crazies.

        • Aviv says:

          Hello Susu,

“Selective information” – I’d like to know where your resources are from?
Do you justify killing innocent people. because this is what Hamas and other “palesinian” militant groups were doing for more than 15 years. Did you hear about suicide bombers in Israel?
If you had information to where terroists are located, What would you have done?
Do you know that all of the targets today were terrorists like EL-QAIDA.

“heartbreaking to see a child waiting inside a hospital”!? Do you know there are many more Israeli civilian casualties by the Hamas? How many Israeli children are afraid for the last 8 years that a rocket will hit their head?
“Israel is tormenting the Palestines”? We supply them with food, water and event electricity from the power plant they are bombing (bizzare! isn’t it?) check your resources if you are not beliving this. We gave them 8 years of chance to try to live in peace next to us.
“Isreali soldiars shooting deadly gases”? You MUST check your resources again… Never was such thing. How do do you clear protesters in your country?
Check with objective articles to see that were almost too humane to them that it hurts us…

        • Susu says:

          Aviv,

Okay from your statement “We gave them 8 years of chance to try to live in peace next to us.” i can tell that your probably Israeli, well im neither Israeli nor Palestinian. You want to know where i get my information from, well sweetie its not from either the Muslim nor Jewish news. as for the Gas shooting at protesters, if u don’t believe me look it up yourself i read it today. You asking me what i would do if i knew of the location of terrorist? i don’t know if that was a sarcastic question to try and call me a terrorist but i would’ve called authorities to take them to where they belong, jail. Don’t try to make it seem in your comments that im a supporter of terrorism , because im not. and as much as you want to make it seem like oh my god you guys are so humane it hurts you, thats not true at all. The last documentary i watched of Israeli’s inflicting harsh treatment on Palestinian civilians was composed from Israeli people speaking out against the Israeli government and they’re way of ” taking care of those people who just want their 27 virgins. you should actually try to use another line because any well educated person would laugh at that statement. If you want more proof as to why i think the Israeli soldiers are so inhumane you can look up pictures yourself, actually better yet look up a picture of a normal day of a Palestinian child and and average day of an Israeli child, that would surely clear up everything for you.

    • hadas says:

as an israeli i have to tell you you got to your sources all wrong. the palestinians have voted for hamas mainly beacouse fatach (plo)is a corrupted party. second of all, there is a huge difference between the apartheid and the conflict taking place in the middle east- my home. after 8 years of constant qasam rocket attacks on israeli citys and countless casualties, we finally respond, and while the apartheid is based on racism, my country fights terrorism, terrorist organizations that are funded by iran and iraq and make matters worse for the palestinians and increase they’r misery. israel is not a raist nation and we are for peace with the palestinians and for them to have an indepedent state, but we must protect our citizens and our borders. and theres no need for name calling of any kind!!

but try to hurt peoples feelings.

All i know is you harming the Palestinians more then any one else , people think you repersent the palastinain side and by so talking trash hoping for a country to go down and talking like such about human holocust makes you a very poor and small man.

I care nothing for the palestinians (and since there is no state of palestine and really no ethnicity of palestinians can you even call them palestinians? I like to call the people of the middle east and greece “the confused turks” because of the wholesale rape and ethnic cleansing the turks did for over 1000 years and still continue to this day, and if consider yourself palestinian I’d like you to consider that you used to live in a turk soldier’s balls).

This is about me, my country, where my tax dollar and our collective wealth goes. Jews and muslims can kill each other till there are none left, the problem is I’ve become an accessory to their crimes and I feel powerless to stop my government from making me complicit in the crimes of another. It is so interesting that the cease fire agreement ended a week ago and now this. No U.S. official to lead these countries toward peace. Where is the Bush Administration foreign policy leader Dr. Condoleeza Rice. 8. The Real Issue says:

;) Cannot wait until real U.S. leadership begins on January 20th, 2009. It’s past time—Obama/Biden/Clinton will demonstrate compassion and strength in getting some of the Middle East situations resolved.

    • TheFox says:

Real Issure: you must be kidding. I know that somewhere there must be a threesome of bigger morons than Obama bin laden/foot in the mouth Biden/and laught a minute Clinton (Both Bill and Hillary) but, I can’t think of another more moronic bunch to leave the countries future in.

    • Joseph Fattal says:

Responding to a comment that Obama/Biden/Clinton. Going to make any difference vis a vis the situation in Palestine. Wrong. The new administration will take the same approach than the old one. I can see it from here. The only way that situation will improve is that one them, either the Israelis, or the Palestinians leave the area. The Israelis will never have a Palestinian state. They consider the whole area, biblicaly, or politicaly their own. If someone has any leverage on Israel, the problem can be solved. A Palestinian state will include Gaza and the West Bank, Gaza to be the capital. That if the Israelis decide to give up some lands between Gaza and the West Bank, which obviously were taken and kept on purpose to divide the palestinians. That’s not going to happen as long the US is backing Israel. And Israel will find an excuse not to go along with any peace solution as long there is a Hamas. I tend to believe Hamas is a fabrication from Israel.

  9. Ed Haque says:

This may be the beginning of the end of ISRAEL…..
Hitler should have killed some of the leaders of Israeil who are doing this to the Palesteaian people….GENOCIDE OF THE PALESTANIAN PEOPLE WILL ONLY WIPE OUT ISRAEL from the face of this earth no matter how uch the Jewish lobby try to save it….

    • TheFox says:

Ed Haque: Hodgee. I think your going to find it’s a little harder to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth that you might think. Someone or Something placed Israel where it is today. It is a buffer between Good and Evil. That is why Someone or Something placed Israel where it is today. It is squarely between the Civilized West and, the barbaric terrorist Islamic world . Israel has a very important part to play. And, the force that placed it there between Good and Evil cannot be overcome by mere mortals (that means you Hodgee).

Eddie: Since you are a member of the crazies you can be in the mushroom cloud and have your virgins. How else do you stop the Hamas rockets. Terrorists cannot be reasoned with. Any group which puts bombs on their 12 year old and sends them into a crowd should be wiped off the face of the earth. You are a sicko.

      BJ

      • Susu says:

No, any person stupid enough to ignore that sending hundreds of missles to kill innocent people and believe that the israeli’s have sympathy for those innocent civilians is a sicko. Get your facts straight, do your homework and read both sides, not just the side that you think is almighty and innocent!

  11. Marshie says:

I really wish Israel would finally pound those palestinian dogs back into the stone age. I’m tired of reading about their suicide bombers and rockets launching from Gaza.

    • Susu says:

Ya.. and i wish racist arrogant dogs like yourself would stop posting immature comments like this one up anymore, but then again you can’t always get what you want.

  12. Rupinder says:

As a person or Indian Hindu origin, I am sad to hear about this attack as many innocent people have lost their lives on both sides. However I sympathize and rationalize Israel’s attack policy. In India we have had 300 years of constant Islamic terrorism before the British colonialist and 50 years after Independence from Pakistan. We have not attacked back and this has made us appear to be a weak target and have attacks every now and then – Mumbai being the most recent. There are small attacks every week in the rest of India which don’t get press coverage. I can only imagine how bad Israel has it. Let me clarify one thing for people, Islamic jihad is not a political movement, it is a “religious” movement. Islamic radicals want to convert the world to Islam, listen carefully to people like Osama and the rest of these Jihadis, they want to convert people to Islam and are willing to do so by force. Even in places like Thailand, Islamic terrorists have been butchering the peaceful Thai Buddhists. There are even instance where they have gone and shot Buddhist monks – these are individuals who are nonviolent and will not even retaliate. I always hear Muslims voice outrage about Palestine and any attack on Muslims, but they never talk about the wrongs Muslims have done. In India over a million Hindu Kashmiri Pandits were forced to leave their land when Muslim terrorists where butchering them in the 90s while the Indian government as useless as it is did nothing. In Pakistan and Bangladesh Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and Christians are treated like animals, they are routinely denied their rights, women are raped and forcibly converted, and children kidnapped and killed, places of worship are attacked and looted. Look at the example of the Taleban blowing up Buddhist statues that date back a thousand years. Treatment of minorities in other Muslim dominant countries like Malaysia and Indonesia is very similar. A poll in Britain of Muslims showed that over 90% hoped to have an Islamic Britain, Muslim imams are telling their followers to have more children so they can become the majority in Britain. Indians have seen what 50 years of non-violent response to Islamic terrorism has been -> more Islamic terrorism. Israel is doing the right thing, Islamic radicals cannot be reasoned with him, if they expect victims of there terrorist activity to sit quietly and take it, they are in for a surprise – just like the one Israel has given. I am like the majority of Americans in not being a great fan of George Bush, but give him credit for one major good he has done, he has prevented another Islamic terrorist act on American soil.

  13. I am covering this situation on the Worldview blog. However, I am trying to advandce the story and I am looking for some help. Do you think Israel is planning to launch a ground offensive? If this occurs this will escelate the situation greatly. What do you think Hamas will do next?

Here is the link to my coverage of the situation:

  14. European says:

I find it disgustful that the US government keeps sending billions and billions of taxpayers dollars to Israel, so that they can continue killing innocent civilians. On the top of that Americans are under the influence of pro-Israeli mainstream media and they don’t see the true facts that would otherwise make any humane person to condemn new Holocaust that has been happening in the Middle East. What is also insane that virtually any criticism of Israel is immediately attributed to antisemitism. As long as US government and media is controlled by Israel this unjustified murder of Palestinians will continue. The world and UN should condemn Israel actions once again. I feel really sorry for Palestinians.

  15. MJones says:

By the logic in this article, every time we “accidentally” bomb a wedding and kill 20 civilians, a 9/11 scale attack would be acceptable retaliation. (2 dead in Israel -> roughly 200 dead in Gaza)

Nevermind what the 100k+ dead in Iraq would equal out to.

  16. Andy says:

To those who talk about so called “Palestinian terrorism” I ask this: at the time Israel was fighting for its independence, what they did and what tactics did they use? For those unfamiliar with history, Israeli throw bombs and grenades not even sparing civilian targets. Of course, this fact is not convenient to be mentioned by media and those who want to kill Palestinians.

    • Ilya says:

That was a war of independence, let us forward in the 21st century… do you think the amount of casualties the Israelis caused fighting for the freedom of their own country is larger, or even equal to the amount of casualties that suicide bombers have carried out in Israel. If you think what the Israelis did was nonhuman, fighting for the freedom of their own country (emphasis on the last three words); then how do you justify the hundreds of blown up buses in Israel with innocent civilians on them? Didn’t Israel leave the Gaza strip as an act of peace toward Palestine? You mind answering how Hamas answered? oh yes they sent rockets into Israel.. so what happens? Israel does not let in humanitarian aid into Gaza, oh yes so now we have a war? If Israel supplies 70% of Gazan fuel, is it really smart to attack them? Palestinians are dying for oil-filthyrich-Iransupplied leaders who get money from provoking fighting. Do some research, lets not point fingers, look at the casualties, Palestine will get destroyed by the IDF… isn’t it better to broker a peace deal?

      • Countess says:

Statistics from “B’Tselem” — The Israeli Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories

        between Sep 29, 2000 and Dec 31, 2006 (time span: 6 years)

        Palestinian death count: 4,269
        Israeli death count: 1,017

Now, I’m not mathematical prodigy, nor would I ever claim to be, but 4,269 is a larger number than 1,017. Hold on, let me make sure on my calculator. Yep, I was right, 4,269 is the larger amount. Whew, for a second there, I thought “do you think the amount of casualties the Israelis caused fighting for the freedom of their own country is larger, or even equal to the amount of casualties that suicide bombers have carried out in Israel” was even remotely true. Good thing my math skills aren’t as rusty as I thought.

  17. Squidward says:

Wow…so two dead in Israel means 200 dead in Gaza. If that’s the logic you support, you probably aren’t logical at all

  18. Harry in LA says:

I am sick and disgusted with the protrayal of Israel as being the bad guy in the middle east. Israel can defend themselves any way they want and if that means taking out the nuclear sites in Iran then so BE IT. Israel has given Hamas every possibility to live in peace but those dogs still hurl missles into Israel. Payback is a “dish best served cold”. God bless Israel.

    • Get Real says:

The way Isreal treats the Gazans by denying daily necessities of life and encouraging them to starve to death and wonders why they throw stones at them? “The GAS Chamber or GAZA Strip”, where is human in all of these?

Does Isreal government treats Palestinians fairly and justly? Rock vs nuclear power, and we are supposed to feel sorry for who?

      Its not religion that creates problems, its people and their policies that creates human misery! Wake up Humans start caring for each other or the whole human race will perish;

  19. john says:

MY HEART PUMPS PURPLE PEE FOR THOSE VERY POOR 170 0R SO PALESTINIAN MUTATIONS THAT WENT ON TO BE WITH mo-HAM-MAD.NEXT TIME,ISRAEL HIT THEM HARDER.IT SEEMS THAT CNN AND OTHER NEWS NETWORKS THINK IT’S OKAY TO SEND MISSLES INTO ISRAEL AND KILL JEWS..BUT..IT’S NOT OKAY FOR ISRAEL TO SEND THEM OUT..IF SAY MEXICO KEPT FIRING MISSLES INTO TEXAS, CALIFORNIA ARIZONA OR NEW MEXICO KILLING AMERICANS WHEN EVER THEY THOUGHT PLEASING WHAT DO YOU SUPPOSE THE US ARMY WOULD DO? OR EVEN BETTER WHAT THE AMERICAN CITIZENS WOULD DO TO MEXICANS? DO YOU THINK FOR ONE MOMENT THAT THE U.S WOULD SHOW ANY RESTRAINT. NOT IN THIS LIFE TIME.

  20. JackOfHeart says:

It is truely a fucked up world when the hands of evil prevail and the entire world is watching. not only that, but those air strikes were most likely carried by American made F16’s and American made missles. May GOD Curse the aggressors and those who support them. Even the blind can not be this blind!!!! THe “real” HOLOCAUST” are in Gaza and all of you watching are participants in the Holocausts. And in case you still wonder who the Anti-christ are; Christ doesn’t starve and kill people by the hundreds for the sake of the myth of the “chosen people”.

    • Ilya says:

you’re truly an idiot my friend. Agressors? Who fired rockets constantly into Israel thinking it wouldn’t retaliate? Who encourages children and women to blow themselves up to go to “heaven”. After Israel leaves Gaza, makes Gazans free people, they respond by accepting the Hamas leadership, great choice. Now accept the consequences, and don’t cry about it. You know that Hamas wants to annihilate Israel from the face of the earth? You know it teaches children in school to want to die in suicide attacks? Stop pointing fingers, Americans realize that Hamas and Hezbollah are smaller terrorist organizations of Al Quaeda. So after you chose Hamas to lead your country, don’t cry when these American F 16’s destroy your homeland, because you clearly asked for it. Just remember that after this occupation ends, you will realize that you starved your children into this, you made it this way, you could have stopped the rockets, and maybe would have saved Gaza from massacre. Enjoy the new year’s proceedings, and unless you can prove to me that Israel provoked this attack, don’t speak at all, no one is blind, you’re population is blind, letting Hamas lead your country into turmoil, yet again great choice!

  21. JackOfHeart says:

THis is an ultimate evidence that the Holocausts were fake!!! poeple who claim to be victims of the Holocausts wouldn’t wish Holocausts on anybody, even their enemy. But again, those sons of pigs are being supported by the most powerful country in the world.

    • Aviv says:

Who are you to determine whether the Holocaust took place or not?!
Your comment indicates how little you aware.
No Israeli wishes Holocaust on the “Palestines”. The “Palestines” were given the option to live there in peace. They elected Hamas and chose to fire rockets on our homes rather to negotiate for peace. THEY CHOSE THE OPTION OF WAR.
Check all your sources and articles to know that this is the truth.

      • JackOfHeart says:

You must be a fool or stupid!

Its the jews that immigrated to Palestine from the “hoods” of the far world and colonized Palestine. when did Israel become israel? 1948, let me hear that one more time? 1948. Before that, the rats were escaping Holocausts (if they existed) in all of europe. Guess what, prior to that and for 100’s of years jews we unwanted anywhere. they were hated everywhere, not only because they were jews, but for their nasty ugly selfish bebrew behavior that couldn’t coexist with any other races. I only wish Hitler had bigger ovens.

    • Susu says:

      lol i love you!

      • Pat says:

Is this the same person who was telling someone(me)to grow up earlier, sitting here loving some sonofabitch for saying he wished Hitler had bigger ovens? Wow, what a standard you set lady! GROW UP!

        • Susu says:

its funny how now you have a problem with me saying things that mean almost the same things that you say.. what a standard you set! and ya i still think you should consider growing up, soon if i may add.

        • Pat says:

I really hope you’re not as ignorant as you type! Let me ask you something Susu: where am I from? What nationality am I? Who were/are my parents? What do you know about me? Not a damn thing it turns out, huh! Listen up: You are NOBODY to call me anything but my name! Here’s a clue. Calling me a terrorist is almost as bad as calling me a NIGGER these days! I am WHAT I AM! Let’s do some growing up real fast, shall we? First of all, I could care less who started this nonsense, or how long it’s been going on, or who’s winning. I’m sick and tired of war, conflict, b.s., grown men actin like children! I’ve had enough war in my life! I’m sick of seeing it. I’m sick of hearing about it. I just want it over, one way or the other. I actually used to feel sorry for the Palestinians in Gaza. The worst slums and ghettos in the U.S. are still better than the quality of life in that place. No one should have to live like that. But what sets guys like me apart from dummys like you is that I understand one basic thing: Fighting doesn’t solve everything! There’s other ways to solve you’re problems. But all Hamas seems to understand is fight, fight, fight! Isreal warned them, you heard Olmert, I heard Olmert, but Hamas wants to fight. Well now they’re getting what they wanted, and it looks to me like they’re getting the sh*t slapped outta them! Hope they’re happy! Let me know when you wanna grow up some more!

        • Susu says:

Ya no you don’t have to hope, im not ignorant, im the exact opposite. And i don’t know why you gave me that whole speech about who you are, where your from and such because i never even mentioned your nationality to begin with. you want to say that calling you a terrorist is like calling you nigger, well sweetie there’s no reason that i would call you a nigger or a terrorist, hence the fact that i never called you that to begin with. but here is the difference between me and you, i am being called a terrorist because i wear a head scarf and I’ve never had any type of support for any type of terrorists. and being that i live in such a diverse community, my best friend happens to be an African American so i wouldn’t even think to refer to anyone in anything other than their name, hence the fact that i never called you names either. And you want to grow up some more? okay well I’ll help you out. You might want to realize that depending on where you are in the world, you have different opinions as to who you think is a terrorist. For example, our president these days isn’t referred to as a savior or anything of that sort just because the news media in specific parts of the world wants to make it seem that way, he’s actually the one called a terrorist in places like Palestine and some parts of Iraq and Afghanistan. Hamas is referred to as police to the Palestinians, but in places like America they are called terrorist. There’s the real difference between me and you. i see both sides of the story and shape my perceptions from there. Like i told a person on this website earlier, i am neither an Israeli nor a Palestinian, i am simply an american citizen that worked the extra yard to see what’s really going on.

        • Pat says:

Oh, wow, what a champion you are! First, I have to say, you wrote a message to someone saying they were just like all the other terrorists out there(which you just shouldn’t say to someone, period), and when you sent it, it was emailed to me. So I thought you were directing that to me. If I was mistaken, then you do have my sincerest apologies.

Now, back to the meat and potatoes. Good for you, you worked the extra yard to see what’s really going on, yet you don’t seem to know any more than anyone else. No sh*t, Bush is called a terrorist in many parts of the world. I know as well as anybody because I travel all over the world myself, including many parts or the M.E. These ignorant, sorry excuses for people, including some I work with, tried to call Barack a terrorist, as completely and utterly absurd as that is. So yea, that word is alittle extra sensitive for me right now. People just shouldn’t call each other that at all.

Nah lady, the difference between you and me is actually much simpler than you said. From where I sit, you’re invested in all this, mind, body, and spirit. That’s your right. But as I told you earlier, I don’t care. I’ll just be happy when we come to the end of the road with this. I’m no fan of Israel, the Palestinians, Hezbollah, or Iran. I certainly don’t care for the Bush Admin. What angers me is the good name of the United States of America being dragged round and round on this stupid merry go round. Since these people can’t seem to use a phone, or send an email, or just sit down and talk like most rational people, and all they wanna do is fight each other, then let the idiots bury each other and be done with it. You can’t force peace on anyone. If Hamas is committed to destroy Israel, let them try. And when they get slapped around like they are now, don’t expect anyone(including those who supposedly worked the extra yard to see both sides of the situation) to feel too sorry for them.

As for you and I, Ms. Susu, if you say you are an American citizen, that’s great. I would never call you a terrorist because you wear a scarf on your head. Now, if you have terrorist’s ideoligies, that’s different. Believeing that Hitler didn’t kill enough Jews, that’s bad, no matter how you feel about them. Since you are an American citizen, how does it make you feel to see people burning your flag and wishing death to your country? These are the people you sympathize with? Really? Is it unfair to ask you that? Is it unfair to ask you wear you stand? If people have dissagreements with America, that’s okay. We aren’t perfect. We can work it out. If you have dissagreements with Bush, burn pictures of his ass! Take off your shoes and throw them at him. I probably woulda thrown a brick. But to burn our flag, now you’re calling all of us out. So what do you think lady? Have I come of age enough for you?

        • susu says:

Yes you have. i do not disagree with anything you said, all im saying is that the Israeli’s have gone further than planning attacks on Hamas, they are creating massacres and killing innocent people and yet Israel is trying to play victim and that’s all that bothers me.

        • Pat says:

Well ma’am, with all due respect, that type of viewpoint seems to be what keeps this roller coaster going. I mean, of course, there are innocent civilians being hurt. That’s always tragic. But unfortunately, in a war, usually that’s just what happens. But in this particular case, between Israel and the Palestinians, people are simply dilluting themselves. Simple as that.

For one thing, from where I sit, there aren’t very many innocents on either side. Hamas won the parlimentary elections, did they not? I know, I know, not everyone voted for them. But the more wars they start, the more people support them, no doubt the same people who voted for them and the same people who complain and cry on t.v. when they’re dodging bombs while calling themselves innocent. So maybe you can explain it to me. Am I missing something here? Because to me, that’s just backward thinking, regressive thinking at it’s best(or worst). As far as who’s actually trying to kill innocents, I seem to remember a rocket attack on Sderot last year that hit a house and killed a family. Hamas’s reaction was what? Dancing on rooftops! Firing machine guns in the air, celebrating this deed? I know everything isn’t always what it seems, but that was absolutely evil lady, no matter who you want to slice it. They burn or flag, scream,”Death to America”, when we haven’t fired a single shot at em’? It’s not our fault if they don’t choose to use their brains instead of rockets and guns.

And Israel falls into this mess every year it seems, and drags us right in with them. I don’t support them, but in this one Susu, you have to admit whether you want to or not, the Israelis played it by the book. That’s why the only one’s you hear denouncing Israel right now are the one’s who would’ve done so no matter what. The truth is there, the facts are there. Whether you choose to see it for what it is or not, that’s up to you. Hamas is the one who targets innocents. Hamas is the one who started this war. Israel warned them, plain as day, to stop firing rockets. You know it. I know it. Israel reacted the way anyone would, including you Susu. Tell yourself whatever you want, but that’s the truth.

How about solutions? I haven’t heard many of them so far. One thing is absolutely concrete that has to happen before anything else can, and that is everyone, from Iran and Syria, the Palestinians and everyone in between, the time is going to come when they all will have to face up to the fact that Israel is NOT GOING ANYWHERE! They are not going to destroy the state of Israel. Iran can threaten, but I gotta believe that there’s enough people in Iran who don’t wanna get blown to the moon, which is exactly what will happen if they attack Israel or Bahrain, or any of our other so-called “friends”. Agree or dissagree, Israel is there to stay. The sooner everyone comes to terms with that, the sooner heads can cool off, hence cooler heads can prevail. Also, the U.S. needs to stay out of it. Why does it take us for them to have peace? All us being there does is gives the people who need conflict to remain relevant more ammo to dish. When they’re ready, they’ll either destroy each other, or go out to dinner and work it out. But they can call us when they need us. We don’t need to have our nose all up in everyone’s dirty laundry. Barack’s doin the right thing by staying quiet. All we have to do is disengage alittle bit, and I betcha, people will start to remember quick enough why they used to love the good ol’ United States of America. Well now, I feel all grown up! :))

        • susu says:

Good, im glad you feel all grown up. Well the only thing I’ve come to terms with in the time that I’ve been responding to you, and this doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing, is that you can’t change anyone’s mind. Your entitled to your opinion as much as i am to mine. Hopefully a year from now no one will be having this conversation and all the problems are solved. So until then, Merry Late Christmas and Happy Early New Years Pat!

        • Pat says:

No, that’s not a bad thing at all. Debate’s always a good thing. I respect most of what you say, but some of it, no. Doesn’t make you a bad person, or a terrorist or any of that. You’re right, hopefully this will all be solved before much more blood is lost, but it won’t happen until people figure out that when you add hate to hate, what do you get? More hate! Thanks for Holiday wishes, and same to you Susu!

  24. Jewish Grandmother says:

The fact is that if Hamas and other terrorist organizations used the funds they receive from . . . wherever and whomever – to truly help their own, i.e., obtain food, medical and other equipment, instead of using them to purchase weapons (where do they get the money to purchase so many weapons – does anyone question this) and build themselves nice villas to live in, they might actually be able to establish new states and provide proper services to their people. And, they wouldn’t have so much time on their hands to plan terrorist attacks because they’d be planning communities and providing futures.

  25. John Ryan says:

  26. Concerned American says:

Damn, there are some really racist statements being thrown around. I realize there is bad blood between the two sides; ****, I’d be pretty pissed too if someone kicked me out my home, set up illegal settlements on my land, then try to kill me when I fight back. That may be a gross simplification of current events in that region, but I don’t wish to type out a protracted post. Anyway, some of these comments are really eye opening. Someone said that they, (being the Jews,) were only chosen (I really hate that phrase; NO people is, nor should EVER be, above another) for Hitler’s ovens. Are you a psychopath? What is the matter with you?

That said, there is no excuse for certain proponents of the Israeli side saying things like, “Palestinian mutations,” or “Palestinian dogs.” Sounds like some of you people are incredibly racist. I do not understand how someone can think in such a disgusting manner. But, to be fair, I’m not in that situation. Perhaps I can never truly understand such a mindset unless I face similar scenarios.

Finally, there needs to be an accord of some kind. These short term peace deals won’t work anytime soon. There are too many people on both sides that do not want to budge, and may even secretly hope conflict continues. As long as certain segments of Israeli society keep setting up shop illegally, and as long as Hamas terrorists keep lobbing Qassams into Israel proper, there won’t be any progress made. The issue at hand is trying to unlearn hatred, a daunting task. But it is a noble one, and must be undertaken vigorously if there is to be any hope.

    • Countess says:

You, my friend, are one of the very few people who has a brain in this world. If everyone thought like you, we wouldn’t even have this problem to begin with. I just wanted to tell you that I really appreciated your comment since I have actually lived through conflict in the Middle East. Kudos.

  27. Blue Proctor says:

Oh for crying out loud! CNN shame on you putting pictures of wounded palestinian children, obviously staged, and saying how bad the Israelis are Blah blah blah. When ever one of these inhuman beasts blows them selves up or goes in a killing rampage, its poor them for what the Israelis are doing blah blah blah. The reason these civilians get hurt is BECAUSE the Islamic Terrorist Beasts hide themselves among schools and children and civilians. Mighty cowardly of them. If Israeli children are killed by these rockets no one says anything. Get real. And stop being on the terrorists side, which it isn’t the one that Israel in on.

When will the world stop Israel terrorists? Palestinians are those who are defending themselves. Don’t forget that Israel is the aggressor. What would you do if for instance Mexico invaded and occupied the US? Would you fight back? It is a shame that the US government and mainstream media are controlled by the Israel. I, as a US taxpayer object that my tax money are sent over to support terror state, Israel.

  32. Concerned American says:

See, that’s exactly what I was referring to. That comment by Adam demonstrates quite eloquently the mindset of many Americans. Certain organizations here would have us all believe that the Palestinians are all evil subhuman savages, and that we should just let Israel wipe them out. Unfortunately, it seems as if they are succeeding, as many Americans would love to see all Palestinians dead. Just take a look at the venom spewed by people such as Adam.

    • Mike Objective says:

“Concerned American” , you do seem to be rational man
and i agree that some people here have made terrible posts,
But try to understand that most of those comments come from (children / immature adults)
who are fueling on your temper. it is best to ignore them.
As they do not represent any side.
try to stick to rationality, I do not know what organizations you are referring to but always try to get your news
from several sources to compare. as a man stationed in Israel for many years i have come to know both sides of the fence and will tell you that as people they can get along well, there is constant interactions in many places between Israelis and Arabs (much more in Israel then in Palestinian territories). The big problem is both sides leaders which failed to find a common path.
In my personal view i find that Palestinians are really suffering BUT the cause (to my point of view) is little to do with israel
but with there leaders denying them simple and most basic rights, any Palestinian complaining against corruption in his government gets penalized incarcerated or worse. I think that the Palestinians deserve a no Hamas rule , to voice there own opinion with out being afraid for there life. many reporters have been kidnapped or threaten in the Gaza strip.
(some of which i personally know) many other have been reporting in an nonobjective manner to appease the Palestinian government in fear for there life/job.
I get to read many reviews about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and mostly the media is soft on the Palestinians.

You see , i think in the long run if Israel succeeds to help the Palestinians get some real leaders (not the kind that build themselves castles travel around the world on the money sent to help them recover – some by Israel itself)
leaders that care about there people , Israel will actually help them most of all. more then all.

By the way, if Israel was not on the map, most people wouldn’t care about the Palestinians problems.
take for example “Black September in Jordan” (you can look it up, nobody probably remembers this) but Jordanian killed more Palestinians than all of Israels killing combined and doubled a few times. reaching to TENS of thousands.
if Israel wasn’t on the map Palestinians probably wouldn’t be around.

It seem that in todays world people are interested in picking sides (usually the easy one) not really taking a moment to learn these people and there culture, they seem to generalize and confuse religion from country, leaders from the common people.
the fact that there are many opinions in Israel and Palestine.

      • Concerned American says:

Oh, there’s no doubt in my mind that Hamas leaders are responsible for a great deal, if not 99%, of the anguish. But the problem (I think; I could be way off, though) is that the Palestinians were frustrated with the lack of efforts, and see constant raids by Israel, in efforts to root out Hamas terrorists. So they turned to the more militant party, which is ironically the very party that is still causing them anguish.

As for the organizations I was talking about, I meant the warhawks in AIPAC and other such organizations. Some of those people seem to be thirsty for Palestinian, (or even just Arab) blood, and lots of it. Even McCain joked around during his campaign, saying, “Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran!” Now THAT scared me. The US military is stretched thin enough. Then we had the Presidential candidate from one of our major political parties joking around about bombing a country with considerably more political power, and much stronger armed forces than Iraq or Afghanistan. Hearing that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

As I said earlier, there needs to be an accord between the two sides. Yes, there is already a dialogue between the two peoples. But if I’m not mistaken, (and I could be, so please correct me if I am,) those are lower level people speaking, rather than the higher ups engaging in full, official talks. I envision something along the lines of what Egypt and Israel have done. But of course, there needs to be an Anwar Sadat on both sides, someone who is actually willing to set aside grievances, and strive for something greater than themselves. Sadly, with all this going on, I don’t see it happening soon. I just hope Obama will be able to have more success.

  33. John Sykes says:

I think it is Pathetic that Israel would take out police departments. This would cause chaos in their country. This would also make more hatred.

Give me a break, if missles are being fired you don’t go bombing police stations.

What the hell is wrong with these people?
I think the Israelis need to punished.

I am absolutely neither side, but have read enough about these problems over the years.

All Israel did was just create more hatred and chaos within Palestine, which will lead to more fighting.

    I am from North America.

  34. john says:

    To my fellow Jews.
I can’t discuss the hatred of Jews by irrational bigots or terrorists, but I can discuss the hatred by ignorant people.
The criticism of Jews takes several paths:
1.We are cowards because we did not fight against the nazis in the WWII. The fact is that we had no weapons in Poland, Hungary, Germany, and Ukraine, and we knew if we kill a German they will kill our children right before our eyes. In the end they killed us and they killed our children.
2.We are racists because we do not want the Palestinian population to overrun us using high birthrate, and then democratically vote Jews out of Israel.
3.We are brutal because we kill terrorists.
4.We are simply appearing too smart in the classroom. And so the not so smart kids hate us.

The bottom line is this, no matter what we do, some people will hate us. Finally Israel is group of Jews who is in a position to fight back, and it should.

So the lessons for Jews, continue what you doing, study hard, be smart, and if need be, use force on the enemy. As reminder to the American readers, the Israelis fixed defect in the Patriot system, the same system that is protecting your sons and daughters in US Army.

  35. Ilya says:

This is really and extremely ridiculous, Hamas has to be either extremely uneducated or having extremely retarded people working for it. Israel closed its borders in the Gaza strip for the reason of rocket fire from Gaza, so you call that an act of war? Then when Israel attacks you cry on t.v asking for help and more suicide attacks, very smart. To all those supporting this war because you’re muslims, this is a shame to a great religion which ideologies have been altered by these extremists that enjoy killing themselves. Good job Iran, fund organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas and see if you’re not next to be taken down. Oh yea did I mention the military power that Israel has? These F-16’s will tear up the Gaza strip into bits. Palestinian people, rise up against Hamas, realize you’re killing yourselves, not the leaders that brainwash you.

  36. mossadsux says:

the mossads moto is war by deception its their creed. they cause so many problems in the world. this is another example.

    • Ilya says:

and what does mossad have to do in this discussion? does mossad teach their children to strap on explosives and die to go to heaven?

  37. mossadsux says:

how can the US forgive the israelis for attacking our flagged ship in the med in the sixties. the relentlessly attacked it knowing it was flagged, for many hours. have we become so submissive to the israelis that we sell our service members souls on that attack to them. our government needs to open our eyes to the deceptive practices of the mossad and the israeli gov. they have everyting to gain if the world is against arab nations it ensures their existance so they dont get obliterated..

    • Ilya says:

you really want to point out mistakes by countries? Wow… with the United States this is a long never-ending book. Supplying Al Quaeda with money to fight the Soviets? Invasion of Iraq? Saudi Arabia supports terrorism, yet they are Americas biggest ally because of it’s oil? so you’re buddies with a country that murders your soldiers and citizens? you’re argument is a joke.

  38. Michael says:

It appears that the Palestinian’s are now the “Jews” and the Jews are now the Nazi’s. The Palestinian’s live in the world’s largest concentration camp and are being wiped out.

The world looks at these attacks and says, “Palestinians are to stop the rocket attacks and the Jews are to stop killing civilians”.

It appears as though this long long term “conflict” is like the massacre in Rwanda, the world watches and doesn’t care. Until the United States labels Israel as a nuclear power and attempts to get them to get rid of the weapons they have, then there is no end to this nightmare to both sides. One throws bombs, the other throws rocks.

When a people are given a land and then seize more land from defenseless people, you have the result you see today. Chaos, and a hatred that will never end.

What will it take to end this, land given back to the Palestinians that has been “unlawfully” taken from them. True diplomatic meetings with people who are willing to give and take and live in peace. Will it happen? That is a question that has been asked for years, who knows. But the real question is, does anyone really care?

  39. mossadsux says:

they sure made a video after 9-11 acting like muslims chearing when the planes hit the twin towers. then were caught and all of them were israeli ex mossad agents living in jersey. they are deceptive and i dont blame hammas they live next to israel and have for a long time. they know how the israelis deceive the world. david did beat goliath and i cant wait till israel falls.

  40. subreen says:

The way the Israeli have responded today towards Gaza really makes me wonder if there was a real holocaust. How do you murder numbers of innocent cilivans and use a pathetic reason on why you had to attack. Who’s Hitler??? Israel is Hitler!!!

  41. mossadsux says:

what holocaust. all i have to say is “WAR BY DECEPTION”.

  42. mossadsux says:

hitler was aware of how jews were deceptive. and did something about it. i dont agree to the steps he took in violence. i would embargo them heavily. make them live like they make palestinians live , see how they like it.

  43. mossadsux says:

by the way if the US didnt protect the israelis so much they wouldnt be there now. they keep playing the holocaust card. that will only get you so far.

    • subreen says:

The U.S. have their own ugly war they created in Iraq, so it would look foolish if they were ever to condemned Israel for any war crimes.

      • JackOfHeart says:

This is exactely why the pro-Israel lobbies in D.C planted the evidence for WMD’s and insisted on the invasion of Iraq. Thank you for your comment.

  44. Roger says:

    A few questions for Jews:

Can you please explain why most of you (or otherwise a great number) think that your nation deserves to be treated in some special way by the rest of the world?

Why if someone says something bad against Israel, you call him an antisemite? Why do you always portray yourself as a victim?

  45. Mike Objective says:

if Israel was not on the map, most people wouldn’t care about the Palestinians problems.
take for example “Black September in Jordan” (you can look it up, nobody probably remembers this) but Jordanian killed more Palestinians than all of Israels killing combined and doubled a few times. reaching to TENS of thousands.
if Israel wasn’t on the map Palestinians probably wouldn’t be around.

there are a lot of people out there who only want to raise antagonism, and don’t really care about Palestinians nor Israeli’s.

It seems like some of you have been brain washed and will only spit out hatred towards the other side no matter what are the facts.
It is sad to see Palestinians being treated like they are from there government , being given education in school mandated directly from Hamas. when i was visiting the Palestinian territories i could feel the fear of people. fear from there own government.
I feel sad for them, because nobody REALLY cares. nobody i mean nobody is saying anything to REALLY help them most people are saying the Israelis are bad or the Palestinians are bad not really aiming to the correct issue LEADERSHIP !

  46. joe doe says:

What I am sick of is these two trying to pull the rest of the world into a conflict of their making. Let the world step back, let them fight it out, and live with the results. Let there be a winner, a real winner. Let there be a real loser, flattened, the shit beat out of them, WWII style. Then this bullshit will be over with.

  47. Jim says:

    sub & mossad,

Your ignorance and infantile thinking shows through quite well. Israel has many Arab citizens that have the same rights as Jews. The Jews are the only ones who allow and encourage others in their nation to be partners. Hamas and Fatah don’t think Israel has a right to exist and act like they believe it. You are what Lenin and company called, “useful idiots” because you will make, sell and then attach the noose around your own neck as well as your friends because you have the critical thinking ability of a small child.

    Michael,

Your attempt at historical recollection is pitiful and incorrect. Israel was given the small and the worst section of their old nation back. They were attacked by multiple nations on the day or their nation’s birth and a couple more times while minding their own business. They didn’t “seize land from a defenseless people” as you so ignorantly stated. They kept some of the land of the attacking enemies as all nations that are victorious do so they can protect themselves better next time.

The Jews hand over territory that no other nation on Earth would and give the Arabs fully functional greenhouses and other businesses and what do the Hamas-voting, violence-loving, genocide-desiring do with this free lunch? They loot and destroy it and then complain that they are starving. Maybe they wouldn’t be starving or having the checkpoints shut down if they could act like civilized people.

  48. mossadsux says:

i have lived with jews, muslims, chritians, hindus, and i i cannot sympothize with jews i can sympothize with every other group bu jews. and no i am not racist against jews. i just dont get their deceptive ways.

  49. david says:

This is an israeli massacre on the Gaza people. Israel broke the agreements of the ceasefire long ago with the seige on gaza and not allowing humanitarian aid. The rocket attacks from hamas were out of desperation and hadn’t even harmed any Israeli before today. Israel has attacked Police headquarters around gaza (these are not legal targets!) and have killed countless civilians in this obscene show of force. It is nothing short of a massacre and Israel is the only one in the region with the power to make peace happen. This shows that they don’t even want peace. Hamas remember, was elected by the PEOPLE in Gaza. Can one really think that by attacking the entire infrastructure of the government that the People Democratically elected will make the problem go away!!! Now the people are even more angry, support for Hamas will be at an all time high there will be more people who will resort to suicide bombings out of sheer desperation at having lost there families and no longer having anything to live for except for revenge! Great job israel, way to handle the situation. Good job bush encouraging this massacre. Let’s hope for the love of god and humanity that Barack Obama has more sense to see how to really solve this problem.
