In a letter to the editor about the beheading in Canada, Abubakar N. Kasim, Toronto, sounds like he has been listening to Mr. HopeNchange a bit too much

I was shocked to hear of the murder of Aasiya Hassan and subsequent arrest of Muzzammil Hassan, both of whom were involved in the establishment of Bridges TV. Had the suspect been a Christian, everyone would have been discussing domestic violence and the need to have the accused treated by specialists. But when he is a Muslim, everyone jumps to conclusions in blaming the religion and its followers.

Quick, someone tell me the last time a Christian beheaded his wife or performed an honor killing.

If Abubakar is this upset, perhaps he should take a look at what is being done in the name of his religion, and, instead of accussing people of being racists and bigots, and, yes, hate-mongers (which is a truly amusing inference, based on what Muslims have been doing around the world in the name of Islam), he should work towards bringing Islam into at least the 20th century, and doing away with all that fun stuff like stonings, beheadings, and honor killings in the name of Islam.
