Updated my iPhone and 2 of the store models, everything went well, except for mine, which is giving me an error IPhone Could Not Activate Cellular Data Network. One fix is supposedly to
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Tried that twice, no luck. Tried my sim in 3 other devices (yes, I have quite a few. At least 25 different devices sitting around, not including the ones that I have given away or thrown away. Some are mine, some are owned by the company), looks like somehow the iTunes system linked with AT&T’s system and wacked the data feature. Interestingly, visual voicemail still works. Sigh. Now I have to put in a ticket to add the feature back on, which could take 24 hours, and I do not head to work till noon Thursday. WiFi works, though.
Anyhow, the cut and paste function rocks. Should make things like adding links in Twitter, and links and text in the WordPress application, most excellent, and usefull.
Also, something that might only interest me and a few others, the upgrade to the Bluetooth has true stereo support. I have a true 2 earbud BT headset by Southwing, and 2 Jabra 8040’s, which are single earbud headsets that are stereo, and work with the music and the radio apps. Suuuuweet!
I’m planning on upgrading mine tomorrow. Wanted to let the initial rush get done, have the bugs ID’d and hopefully fixed before I screw my phone up. Glad to see its working!
It really is awesome, from my POV.
If the data goes wacky, which we have heard happens now and then, just call cust service, have them take the feature off then add it back.
Can across quickly and loaded effortlessly. No bugs noticed as of yet…
Good to hear.
Finally got my data back around 7pm.
