Will he listen?
Seven former CIA directors are asking President Barack Obama to quash Attorney General Eric Holder’s investigation into harsh CIA interrogations of terror suspects during the Bush administration.
The request came in a letter Friday from CIA directors who served both Democratic and Republican presidents, including three who served former President George W. Bush.
Just crossing the wires, so, waiting for a bit more detail.
Teach do you think that IF laws were broken than the law breakers should be prosecuted ? Many of the low level people who were involved in the torture voiced serious doubts about what might happen to them in the future because of what they were being told to do. I believe that ALL laws should be enforced. It is the duty of the Executive Branch to prosecute, it is than up to the Judicial Branch to try them and if found guilty to determine the punishment. The Executive Branch always has the power to commute or grant clemency.
Low level Nazis were also told that everything that was being done was a matter of National Security and completely legal, but that defense didn’t work when WE prosecuted THEM
I know you folks on the left hate Bush, but, is it necessary to destroy the CIA just to get your jollys for things that happened while he was president?
