If you said to yourself “can’t be Bush”, well, no grog for you. Talking Points Memo gives us their plan to look forward
Today, Rep. Chris Van Hollen who is in charge of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, dismissed potential signs of trouble but stayed on his message that no matter what happens next year members won’t be caught unprepared. (snip)
“This is not going to be 1994 all over again,” Van Hollen told reporters at a briefing at the DNC. “The fundamentals are very different today.”
Their strategy: GOP just wants to rewind the clock to Bush era.
“The Republican party in Washington today is no different than the Republican party that ran the Congress before,” Van Hollen said.
BDS still reigns supreme within the Jackass Party. But, then, if you were a Democrat, would you want to run on the success of the Porkulus, how they have managed the deficit, the coming tax hikes, the monumentally unpopular health reform legislation, their monstrous spending, etc?
I would rather 4 more years of Bush, than eleven more months of Obama! I am sure the American people are beginning to see that way as well!
Probably not a bad choice, since their hopes and dreams will be to influence enough of the “tea partiers” to choose third party candidates over Republicans (they sure as hell won’t pick the donks over the elephants this time around) and some split the vote, allowing the donks to continue their reign of financial terror. Might work. Probably won’t.
