Arizona Illegals Law Haters Want To Boycott Arizona Tea

There’s only one problem with that

Opponents of Arizona’s new anti-immigrant law are calling for a boycott of the state’s products – including the popular Arizona Iced Tea.

The problem: Arizona Iced Tea is actually brewed in New York.

Just when you thought the open borders amnesty supporting lefty moonbats couldn’t get any more feebleminded…..

Moonbattery: Look out, JCPenney. The progressive brain trust is liable to go after Arizona jeans next.

Sister Toldjah: Apparently these clueless wonders know about as much about Arizona Iced Tea as they do the immigration bill itself.

Cassy Fiano: If you ever wonder how we ended up with Barack Obama as president, then all you need to do is look at the hysterics surrounding the Arizona illegal immigration bill.

Jammie Wearing Fool: Talk about weapons-grade stupidity.

  1. John Ryan says:

Arizona Iced Tea is now the official drink of Tea Partiers, only trouble is it is made in New York.

Wow. Another nonsensical comment from Ryan. Who would have guessed that?

(Of course, we all remember the flap of “french fries” in the Capital’s dining room. Stupidity runs on all sides of the aisle.)

However, this statement from the article caught my eye:
The new state law allows cops to demand citizenship papers from anyone they think looks illegal.

This is a blatant lie. The law allows the cops to demand proof of residency from someone they have stopped in the course of other law enforcement activities. The law actually has “anti-profiling” provisions in it.

It is not that the law isn’t available online so the author Helen Kennedy has no excuse for making this critical mistake.

There only a few reasons she wrote that statement:
    a) She didn’t read the actual law.
    b) She is relying on what other people told her, rather than fact checking.
    c) She is writing an article that has a pro-illegal immigration stance.
    d) She is spouting the leftist / progressive partyt line.
    e) All of the above.

    I am choosing “e.”
